Cardmedia (Europe) Ltd, the official UK distributor for the manufacturer Vosonic, has announced the availability of the X’S-Drive II Plus VP2160, a new Portable Storage Device with LCD display, which is to replace the popular XS Drive II VP2060.

The X’S-Drive II Plus VP2160 remains a 2 button operation unit; “Power on / off” and “Copy” with an LCD display for file transfer status, battery power level, capacity on the HD left.

The X’S-Drive II Plus VP2160 allows the transfer of pictures and any other file from any memory card including xD picture cards via the 2 multi-memory card slots to its internal 2.5 inches hard drive.

All types of memory cards which can used are: Compactflash, IBM Microdrive, SmartMedia, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, and xD picture card without any adapter.

The easy to use Copy function copies files from your memory cards with just the press of a button, and the names of the files being transferred are indicated on its LCD Panel.

The X’S-Drive II Plus has the latest Vosonic technology implemented:
- Long life built-in internal rechargeable batteries for up to 6 hours of use
- High speed copy transfer rates (a full 1GB memory card transfers in 8 minutes)
- Compact casing to easily carry

You can access the files stored on the Hard Drive via your computer with the USB 2.0 Connection (USB 1.1 backward copmpatible) and you can also use the X’S-Drive II Plus as a USB Combo card reader.

The X’S-Drive II Plus works with 2.5 inches Hard Drives of any capacity. You can purchase the X’S-Drive II Plus with a pre-installed Hard Drive or install your own (provided it’s 9.5mm).
