Taking on the premises of the failed high street retailer, Jessops, the new shop is located at 51 Lord Street, in the heart of the city centre. Wilkinson Cameras opens flagship store in Liverpool

Wilkinson Cameras – the North West’s leading independent photo retailer – is opening a brand new flagship store in Liverpool, taking on the premises of the failed high street retailer, Jessops.

The new store - which is located at 51 Lord Street, in the heart of the city centre close to Liverpool One shopping centre and leisure complex -  will open on 1st August.

Established in 1986, the latest store opening will mean Wilkinson Cameras takes its number of stores to 10 in the North West – making it the largest independent photo retailer in the region.  The new Liverpool store will also be creating up to 5 new jobs for the city.

After considerable negotiations with the Jessops administrators, Wilkinson Cameras managing director David Parkinson said:

‘The new Wilkinson Cameras store in Liverpool is a great step for us – for a long time we’ve looked at having a presence in the city – and the demise of Jessops has only increased the importance of having an experienced photo retailer in town to support the photographic community.

‘Our core values – expert knowledge, first class customer service and comprehensive product range – will be key to all we offer in the new store. We’ve been in business 27 years, so have a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share – we look forward to opening the doors on the new Liverpool store and welcoming customers old and new!’
