i1Profiler Software Gets Filmmaker-Friendly Update

The update introduces support for display workflows for Rec. 2020 and DCIP3.

Birmingham, UK, July 26 th , 2016 – XP Distribution, the specialist distributor for X-Rite’s range of colour management products aimed at the photographic and video markets, has announced an update to the X-Rite i1Profiler software, which is featured in the i1 line-up including i1Display Pro, i1Basic Pro 2, and i1Photo Pro 2. This new update adds calibration support for professional video colour workflows Rec. 2020 and DCIP3.

The update expands the range of broadcast video standards which the i1Profiler software already supports; NTSC, ITUR Rec.BT.709 and PAL SECAM . X-Rite successfully expanded their offering into the video market with the launch of the ColorChecker Video range at the end of 2015, and continue to support filmmaking professionals with this latest extension of their software capabilities. X-Rite have also recently announced their debut attendance at IBC 2016, the largest European event for filmmaking and broadcast professionals. X-Rite will be on Stand LP8 in Hall 9 at IBC, RAI Amsterdam from the 9th 13 th September 2016.

The X-Rite team will be at IBC to demonstrate to filmmakers how X-Rite video products fit into the video colour workflow. X-Rite Coloratti, independent filmmaker and documentary maker, Ollie Kenchington will be working with X-Rite throughout the show, presenting the X-Rite ColorChecker Video targets and display calibration on a variety of stands across the show. X-Rite has recently partnered with Atomos to support the i1Display Pro for calibration of their monitor range, expanding the scope of professional monitor calibration to all filmmakers.
