Corel PaintShop Pro X7 Review

Conclusion

Historically, the only real problem we've had with PaintShop Pro is the performance issue of applying changes which – frankly – took an age. It seems that Corel have been working on that problem and it's certainly improved, although still present.

There are other areas that still need improving on such as the constant proofing that prevents you from doing anything until it's finished. The yellow alt tabs keep getting in the way of reading some of the drop down menus as well.

If these issues can be addressed, then Corel PaintShop Pro X7 will continue to be the threat it is to Adobe. After all, for the price you're getting an extremely powerful editing tool. When you compare X7 to Adobe CC the cost is a major contributing factor.

Corel PaintShop Pro is a system that gets better with each release and X7 is arguably their best yet.
