Conclusion

The Epson SureColor SC-P400 is a great printer for the enthusiast photographer who may have a limited budget but still wants to produce exhibition quality prints.  The build quality of the SC-P400 is perhaps not as robust as both the P600 and P800 models, so may not be suitable for heavy studio use, but for home use it is more than sturdy enough. Print quality is excellent, especially for portraiture and for dynamic colours on glossy media. I have no hesitation in recommending the Epson SureColor SC-P400 for high quality photographic printing.
