frio Coldshoe Review

Conclusion

The position we placed ourselves in was to ask ourselves how often we're in a position that we'd need a gizmo like the frio. It's a unique accessory that has a very unique place in the market. Interestingly, recently we've wanted to start shooting portraits indoors thanks to reliably bad British weather. Using the frio, we could simply take a tripod and have some side on light without finding something to rest it on.

If you find yourself in this position then the frio Coldshoe is a very useful piece of kit. For around £10 it's cheap enough to have one hanging around in your kit back just in case you need it. It's one of those little accessories that you may never use, but if you do, it'll be at a time when it will save your life.

If you're looking to do some off camera flash photography and need something to hold the flash upright, then the frio Coldshoe is the perfect accessory for that scenario.
