The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 18mm F1.4 R LM WR is a bright, fast walkaround prime lens that's particularly well-suited to landscape and street photography. It also makes a good video lens thanks to its small size, light weight and confident, silent autofocus.

Ever since I bought into the Fujifilm X Series, now almost a decade ago, I have gravitated toward the faster prime lenses. In essence, it is what lured me in and what has kept me an advocate for the X Series. The ability to shoot with a lighter system and yet have access to fast primes is very appealing to me.

Fujifilm recently sent me a pre-release version of the new Fujifilm 18mm F1.4 lens, and I have to say that I think this might be one of the most highly anticipated lens releases from Fujifilm.
