MacPhun FX Photo Studio Review

Performance
Your enjoyment of MacPhun FX Photo Studio entirely depends on how much you like applying different filters and effects to your images. It won’t be to everybody’s tastes, but it’s a fun piece of software to use and enjoy, taking the effort out of what could be quite time-consuming and laborious efforts.
What’s perhaps most impressive about the software is the speed at which these edits can be made.
Although you can make more complicated or nuanced edits to certain aspects, such as saturation or exposure, it’s not designed to be a replacement for a more standard type of software, but rather it complements something else very well - whether that’s the rest of the Creative Kit, or something such as Photoshop.
As with anything like this, it’s worth experimenting with the different filters to find ones that you like, or ones that you want to avoid. The finished results range from subtle and discreet to much more obvious and garish - but the fact that you don’t need any specialist knowledge to create the looks is arguably its most powerful feature.

Conclusion
FMacPhun FX Photo Studio has the fact that it is very simple to understand and use in common with the other apps in the MacPhun Creative Kit, but it also has a decent amount of power.
If you’re working with much more advanced software such as Photoshop, then it complements it well if you just want to add a fun effect to finish off an image. Happily, you can also use it as a standalone app without anything else if your main concern is creative effects.
Some of the effects presets here would be very complicated to create via traditional photo editing software so it’s nice to have quick and easy access to them. The fact that you can tweak them to suit your particular preferences is the icing on the cake.
It’s not a replacement for more advanced software - but neither is it designed to be, and what it does, it does very well. If you like filters it’s worth the £20 investment, and it’s a nice bonus for the rest of the Creative Kit.
The fact that you can try before you buy, or get a full refund if you don’t like using the software is a great bonus for this and other MacPhun software and makes it a very appealing prospect for Mac users.
