Performance

With the best will in the world, any removal isn't going to be perfect. Despite claims to have the world's most advanced algorithms, the software is far from 100% accurate.

The good thing about this software is that you can experiment with different removal methods until you find the one that works the best. Although you can select large swathes of the photo at one time, it's recommended that you select smaller areas and work your way through an image as what works in one area, may not be quite so good in other.

Some removals work well, while others will take more work - but that's to be expected if your photo is complicated and there's no magic solution here and it's genuinely useful for those occasions where there's no possibility to shoot without distractions (such as crowded tourist spots).

Within the software, it is claimed that the Dynamic removal method is best for sorting out small edits, such as skin imperfections. In reality, I found that the Global method worked slightly better - we can still see it's not perfect if we zoom in very closely though.

Photoshop has its own version of this removal technique within the software itself in the shape of Content Aware Fill, and while this can be a little trickier to implement at times, the results tend to be on a similar level to MacPhun's Sneapheal Pro.

Conclusion

For the great value price of the software, you get a lot of value for money here. At just over £20, you do get a pretty powerful removal software that is easy to get to grips with and doesn't take a lot of time to learn.

If you already have something like Photoshop, whether you think it's worth the extra pay out for something which the software already offers is questionable - but it's definitely easier to use SnapHeal Pro than Photoshop's more complicated system.

On the other hand, if you don't have any software installed, this is a good basic program to also perform other kinds of edits, such as exposure and cropping. Overall SnapHeal Pro is a good all rounder that offers fantastic value for money.
