Nikon AF-S Nikkor 58mm f/1.4 G.
Have Nikkor lens 50mm f1.4 it is manual focus and no G. And it is much, much sharper at full aperture, than here the shots ‘in sample images’.
I use it nikkormat EL, Nikon F2, Nikon F4 and now on Nikon D300 It is incredibly sharp even at full aperture. Now I use mostly on D300 zoom 18>200mm.
It is not so bad but can not match 50mm f1:4 lens or my old Macro Nikkor 55mm f3.5 Sadly it is such shorth focal length and it is almost impossible to use it outside on small creatures such as bees or any similars creatures because short distance between lens and creature.

I would be interested in trying the lense. I have several fixed lenses that I love.
