Hahnemühle has partnered with Canon for a new programme called "Try My Photo." A limited-time offer exclusive to US residents, Canon's Try My Photo programme allows participants to see one of their favorite images printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag or Hahnemühle William Turner fine art papers, among others, using select Canon Pixma Pro series printers. Peak Design have revealed their latest product, Capture Camera Clip v2 and CapturePRO. The San Francisco-based photography gear company describes the new Capture as a completely revamped and reimagined version of their original camera clip. An alternative to the standard camera strap, Capture is a compact aluminium clip that allows active photographers to rigidly carry their cameras on any backpack strap, belt or bag. The new version additionally converts to a quick-release clamp for a tripod or monopod, works as a GoPro mount with an optional accessory, and adds compatibility with a wider range of photography gear, like sling-style camera straps and tripod heads (ARCA-type and Manfrotto RC2). There are two versions available, the standard Capture ($59.99) for hobbyists/beginners, and the fuller-featured CapturePRO ($79.99) for professional phofographers. These products are available for preorder at a limited-time discount on Kickstarter until 23rd August.

Toshiba has announced its latest, UHS-II compliant Exceria and Exceria Pro SDHC and SDXC memory cards, which are claimed to offer the world's fastest write speeds of all currently available SD cards. The Toshiba Exceria Pro series will offer photographers a maximum data write speed of 240MB/s , while the "regular" Exceria series will offer write speeds of up to 120MB/s. Pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed.

Broncolor has launched a new range of easy-to-assemble softboxes and octaboxes. Marketed in a total of nine different shapes and sizes, embracing square, rectangular and octagonal shapes, or as a strip; the new light shapers are much easier to construct and dismantle than their predecessors – thanks to new coloured markings on the pre-assembled tensioning rods and support ring. According to the company, the new 35x 60cm Softbox will cost £110 (ex Vat) A 75cm Octabox will cost £140 (ex VAT).

Lehmann Aviation has just launched the LA300, a new automatic drone for taking aerial images and video with the Nokia Lumia 1020. The Lehmann LA300 is a highly user-friendly unmanned aerial vehicle, which flies at a range of up to 15km, at speeds of 20-80km/h. For flight preparation and mission control the user just has to «draw» on a touchscreen tablet the area of interest, enter waypoints and Lehmann’s OperationCentre will automatically generate missions and program the drone. The drone is launched by hand and lands within a few metres of the launch site. The LA300 is priced at €4 990, ready to fly.

Projecteo, a matchbox­ sized slide film projector, is now available. "The idea is to bask in pictures with friends and families, just like the old days," says Projecteo inventor Ben Redford. Users first choose the desired photos from their Instagram account, then order the slides via the Projecteo website. The photos are developed on to a single frame of 35mm Kodak film, with nine pictures on each. The pictures are then mounted on a specially designed wheel. A Projecteo with one slide wheel costs $34.99.

Intro 2020, official UK importers and distributors of Hoya filters, have just launched the new Hoya REVO series of filters in the UK. This filter series consists of a UV and Circular Polarising filters that are all sold separately. All Hoya REVO filters have very low-profile aluminium filter frames to house the glass and keep it perfectly parallel to the sensor plane. The low-profile frame also makes the filters compatible with a wide array of super and ultra wide-angle lenses. Hoya REVO series filters are available in sizes from 37mm to 82mm. Suggested retail prices start from £35.00 for the 37mm UV filter.

Pricing for the new "Aqua Canvas" starts at £44.

NEC has announced the 24-inch MultiSync PA242W colour accurate display and colour critical PA242W-BK-SV display solution. Suitable for applications where accurate colour is necessary such as photography, retouching, video editing and pre-press, the MultiSync PA242W monitor is built on a GB-R LED backlight, which provides a wider colour gamut and more colour control than a conventional white LED backlight. It also features a 1920 x 1200 resolution, internal 14-bit programmable 3D lookup table and 10-bit wide colour gamut LCD panel. The PA242W-BK-SV is the same monitor complemented by a SpectraViewII Colour Calibration Solution, which includes software and colorimeter to provide automated monitor matching and calibration. The MultiSync PA242W and PA242W-BK-SV are now available at an estimated street price of $1,049 and $1,299, respectively.

SanDisk today announced the SanDisk Extreme microSDHC and microSDXC UHS-I memory cards. The microSDXC card is equipped with the fastest speeds available on the market (for a 64GB microSDXC memory card), with up to 80MB/sec read and up to 50MB/sec write speeds, allowing faster shot-to-shot performance, rapid data transfer, fast action photography, continuous burst mode and quick file transfers. SanDisk Extreme microSDHC and microSDXC cards are available worldwide now in 16GB to 64GB capacities, with pricing starting from £25 for the 16GB microSDHC card.

Kenro has announced the UK launch of the Nissin Di700 flash gun. The Nissin Di700 features a zooming flash head with an extended 24-200mm coverage and a guide number of 50 (in metres at ISO 100/21°) at the 200mm setting. The model supports 180° horizontal rotation to the right and left, tilts up to 90° and expands 7° downwards to facilitate close-up photography. Other highlights include a recycle time of 0.1-4.0 seconds, an AF assist light, PC sync, 3.5mm sync and an external power socket that makes the Di700 compatible with the Nissin PS 8 power pack. The new Nissin Di700 is available now in Canon and Nikon digital SLR camera fittings (Sony fitting available in September 2013) and has a SRP of £195.

In collaboration with Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC), Nikon has introduced a new robotics solution that allows professional photographers to "achieve shots that were never before possible." Using a Nikon D4 digital SLR camera; one of MRMC’s SFH-30 robotic heads quickly moves and rotates the camera from a position that would not normally be physically possible, allowing photographers to shoot difficult angles and in impossible locations. The camera is then controlled and used to shoot images by a photographer from a remote location. "The impressive latency of this system of less than 0.1 seconds makes this robotics system an ideal solution for shooting fast action sporting events," Nikon claims. The setup was first trialled at Wimbledon 2013, by sports photographer Bob Martin who used a 200-400mm and a 80-400mm lens on his Nikon D4 to capture some truly interesting photos. Kenro has announced the UK & Ireland launch of a new range of Light Panels by Reflecta, which provide film photographers with an easy and convenient way to view multiple slides. Photographers can choose from four different models; the L130 with a viewing area of 127x 100mm, the L230 version which has 178 x 127mm of viewing space, the L300 version having a 200 x 150mm light area and the largest model, the L600 with 300x 200mm of viewing space. The L130 and the L230 models are ultra-portable and can be operated by six AAA batteries or an external power adapter. Kenro, the official UK and Ireland distributor for the Benro range of tripods and bags, has introduced the Combination series of tripods. The new Combination range is so named due to the choice of two platforms for the tripods – either the simple flat platform or the geared centre column.
