Phase one has released an update for Capture One. Version 6.3.2 adds support for raw files generated by the Samsung NX200, Pentax Q and Olympus E-PM1 compact system cameras. Mister Retro has released its latest Photoshop plug-in, Retrographer, which allows users to apply a variety of retro/vintage photography effects to their photographs. Developed by Brian J. Bonislawski and Maxim Victorovich Chernusov, Retrographer features over 15 lens, flash, film, lab, and special effects, and more than 1100 preset “camera settings”. X-Rite has announced that Eizo now offers ColorEdge calibration monitor support via its proprietary ColorNavigator software for X-Rite’s i1Display Pro colorimeter product. Phase One today released Version 1.1 of Media Pro. a professional digital visual assets managing application for Mac and Windows. onOne Software has announced the availability of Perfect Photo Suite 6. This version introduces four new products—Perfect Portrait 1, Perfect Layers 2, Perfect Effects 3, and Perfect Mask 5 to the existing Perfect Resize 7, FocalPoint 2, and PhotoFrame 4.6 plug-ins, and integrates them via a Suite menu bar that allows photographers to move effortlessly between them. Perfect Photo Suite 6 continues to work as a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop and now also as a completely standalone application. This additional functionality means that all products in the Suite can be used together within Adobe Lightroom and Apple Aperture without relying on a separate host application as was previously required. Nikon has launched the my Picturetown Pad app for the Apple iPad. The free app allows users to enjoy using my Picturetown, Nikon’s online image sharing and storage service, with their iPads and iPhones. In addition to supporting playback of data recorded using the Motion Snapshot function, my Picturetown Pad also supports book view and a map view that utilises information recorded with cameras equipped with a GPS function. Plasq today released Comic Life 1.1 for iPad, the latest update to the app based on their award-winning photo-comic software. The new update includes a variety of improvements: high-resolution export options, seamless Twitter image integration, more comic management flexibility, and localisations in several languages. Fotolia and Silicon Publishing have released an extension to Adobe Creative Suite (CS) that allows designers to access Fotolia’s library of over 14 million images, directly within Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. “We are thrilled with the new CS Extension technology from Adobe.
