Samyang has unveiled the MF 85mm F1.8 ED UMC CS lens for mirrorless cameras with APS-C crop sensors. The MF 85mm F1.8 ED UMC CS is designed for use with APS-C sensor mirrorless cameras in the following mounts: Sony E, Fujifilm X, Canon M, and Micro-Four-Thirds. The suggested retail price is £319.99 and it will be available from September 2018.

Nikon have released the Nikkor Z lens roadmap for 2018-2020, with 12 lenses planned in total. In addition to the four lenses announced today, Nikon will add five new lenses in 2019 and three new lenses in 2020.

Nikon has unveiled three S-line NIKKOR Z lenses, the Mount Adapter FTZ and the development of a 58mm f/0.95 S Noct lens.

The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S, NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S, and NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S are S-Line interchangeable lenses. The S-Line is a newly designated grade of NIKKOR Z lenses that adhere to a new benchmark in optical performance, while creating new definitions of quality and design. These lenses realise rendering performance that surpasses that of conventional f/4 and f/1.8 lenses.

The Mount Adapter FTZ has been designed to allow users of Nikon SLR cameras to utilise their existing NIKKOR F mount lenses with the Z mount system.

Nikon is currently developing the NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct, a standard prime manual focus lens.

The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S and NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S will be available September 27 for the suggested retail prices (SRP) of $999.95* and $849.95*, respectively. The NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S lens will be available in late October for the SRP of $599.95*. The Mount Adapter FTZ will be available September 27 for $249.95* SRP (Additional $100 savings when purchased together with a Z 7 or Z 6, through 12/31/2018).

Nikon has announced the release of two full-frame, Nikon FX format mirrorless cameras, the Z7 and Z6, as well as NIKKOR Z lenses, featuring a new, larger-diameter mount.

The Z7 has 45.7 effective megapixels, and supports a standard sensitivity range of ISO 64–25600.

The Z6 is an all-purpose FX-format camera with an effective pixel count of 24.5 megapixels, and supports the wide range of ISO 100–51200 standard sensitivities, plus full-frame 4K UHD movie recording with full pixel readout.

The MB-N10 battery pack that is currently in development will hold two EN-EL15b rechargeable Li-ion batteries.

The Nikon Z 7 will be available September 27 for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $3399.95* for the body-only configuration, or for $3999.95* SRP as a kit with the new NIKKOR Z 24-70 f/4 S lens. The Nikon Z 6 will be available in late November for the $1995.95* SRP for the body only configuration, or for the $2,599.95* SRP with the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens kit.

The new Nikon Z7 and Z6 mirrorless cameras have been leaked ahead of their official launch tomorrow.

A full set of press pictures of the two Nikon full-frame compact system cameras have appeared on the Japanese rumour site Nokishita, showing the Z7 and Z6 from various angles and also the three new lenses (Z-Nikkor 24-70mm f/4 kit lens, Z-Nikkor 35mm f/1.8, Z-Nikkor 50mm f/1.8) and F-to-Z lens mount adapter that will be unveiled at the same time.

There's no word on the actual specifications yet, but as the press photos show, the Nikon Z7 and Z6 are identical mirrorless cameras with a tilting LCD screen, top-plate LCD panel and ergonomic grip in a DSLR-design.

In another busy month for the brand, Leica has revealed a new ‘stealth’ version of the M10 in the near-silent shuttered, logo-free M10-P. Photography Blog attended the M10-P’s London launch…

The Leica M10-P digital rangefinder camera is exceptionally discreet and concentrates entirely on the most essential camera functions. The Leica M10-P has an extremely low noise level of its shutter, the quietest shutter release of all M-cameras ever made. In addition the camera has no Leica red dot logo on the front and features only discreet Leica lettering on its top plate.

Nikon have released the fifth teaser video for their upcoming full-frame mirrorless camera, with personal testimony from three different photographers on how the camera works and handles.

The three photographers are Brandon Woelfel, Social Media Creator, Vivien Liu, Urban Architect and Photographer, and Marsel Van Oosten, Nature Photographer.

Van Oosten comments "It handles just like a DSLR, but physically it's totally different, because it's so lightweight", Woelfel says "Its so reliable and I'm always able to capture the most spontaneous moments" and Lui "Having a camera I can take anywhere with me is great because the more pictures you take, the greater it is for a creative".

The new Nikon mirrorless camera also appears to have a touchscreen LCD adapter, and it can be used with Nikon's huge range of F-mount lenses via an adapter.

Nikon have released the fourth teaser video for their upcoming mirrorless camera, focusing this time on the Lens.

Sony is now ranked number 1 in the US full-frame interchangeable lens camera market. Four out of every 10 full-frame cameras sold during in the first half of 2018 have come from the Sony brand. As a celebration of these historic achievements, Sony has announced the launch of its extensive "Be Alpha" campaign that will connect creators of all types with the brand.

Nikon have released the third teaser video for their upcoming mirrorless camera, focusing this time on the Body.

Leica Camera AG has launched a limited edition version of its Leica Q camera, the Leica Q ‘Globe-Trotter’. Created in partnership with legendary luggage makers, Globe-Trotter, the new model is wrapped in specially selected Globe-Trotter leather in navy or light pink.

The Leica Q Globe-Trotter is limited to 50 pieces in each colour and is available now at the Leica stores in Mayfair, City of London, Manchester and selected authorised dealers, priced at £5,400 inc VAT.

Following last week's first teaser video, Nikon have released another video entitled "Mount", which reveals a few more details about the brand new mirrorless camera's lens mount. The video indicates that the new mount will be physically larger than the F-mount used in Nikon's DSLR cameras, hinting at a larger image sensor too.

"Since the release of the Nikon F, Nikon has built a legacy of incredible cameras and lenses around the iconic F Mount. Building on that technology and DNA, Nikon aims for new, unprecedented heights."

Another 4 teaser videos will be released before the full reveal on August 23rd, 2018, making 6 in total.

Nikon has announced the development of a next-generation full-frame (Nikon FX-format) mirrorless camera and NIKKOR lenses featuring a new mount which "will enable a new dimension in optical performance".

Additionally, an F-Mount adapter is being developed that will enable the use of a wide variety of F-Mount NIKKOR lenses with the new camera.

Full details, including the release date and suggested retail prices, will be shared at a later date.

Nikon Europe have released a teaser video for their widely rumoured new full frame mirrorless camera. The YouTube video "Travel of Light" gives little away, but does appear to show what seems to be a camera with a central EVF and a new lens mount.

The description for the 1min 28sec video reads "Countless rays of light come together, forming an image at the end of their long journey. Nikon's ongoing mission heading into the future: to guide light into forming superb pictures."
