Apple has updated its iMac and Mac mini desktop lines with faster processors and twice the memory. The entire iMac line comes with faster Intel Core 2 Duo processors up to 3.06 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics, double the memory and up to one terabyte of storage. Apple also announced that its AirPort Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi Base Station and Time Capsule now feature simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual-band networking. The new iMac and Mac mini lines are available now.

The JOBO PDJ120 is a new limited edition 12 inch digital photo frame. The PDJ120 features a stylish snow-white acrylic border, internal memory capable of storing up to 800 pictures and convenient remote control access. The JOBO Photo Display PDJ120 will be available this month for $259.

The Datacolor SpyderCube is a new all-in-one RAW calibration device. SpyderCube provides fast and accurate whitepoint correction as well as bracketed adjustments for highlights and blacks. The White face of SpyderCube helps define highlights in relation to the catch-light; the Gray face measures color temperature and mid-tone response; the Black face defines shadows in relations to the Black Trap; and the Black Trap defines absolute black. Datacolor’s SpyderCube will cost $59 and be available beginning in March, 2009.

The PanTouch Clear 10.4-inch is the world’s slimmest digital photo frame. Just 1/3-inch thick, the PanTouch Clear 10.4-inch frame can easily be hung on a wall as well as fit neatly and unobtrusively in any other location. It features an eye-catching LCD that appears to be “floating” in the surrounding glass, 1024x768 resolution, integrated Wi-Fi and 2GB of storage space. The PanTouch Clear 10.4-inch will be available in May for $229.99.

The Epson R-D1xG is a new 6 megapixel rangefinder digital camera. An updated version of the original R-D1 and R-D1s models, which were discontinued in June 2007, the RD1xG retains the same 6 megapixel APS-C CCD sensor. It additionally offers a larger 2.5 inch LCD screen, SDHC card support, EDiART image processing and a handgrip. The Epson R-D1xG will be available in Japan on April 9th. Epson have already provided a photo gallery showing what the R-D1xG is capable of. The Epson R-D1xG is only being released in Japan.

Four 8ft prints by professional photographer David Osborn of Britishpanoramics.com, taken with the 160 megapixel Seitz 6x17, are about to be shown for the first time. ‘There isn’t another camera anywhere in the world that takes larger digital pictures than the 160 mega pixel Seitz, and the files produce incredible results,’ says Osborn. The SIM2 Solar Series is a new range of high-dynamic-range (HDR)-enabled LCD flat-screen displays.
