The Samyang AF 24mm F2.8 FE is a new, budget, autofocus lens for Sony mirrorless shooters. Weighing in at 93g and measuring just 37mm long, the Samyang AF 24mm F2.8 FE delivers a quiet, fast and accurate autofocus system and a minimum focusing distance of just 24cm. Available from July 2018, the Samyang AF 24mm F2.8 FE will cost £279.99 in the UK.

Canon has upgraded two of its most loved and well-regarded L-series lenses with the launch of the EF 70-200mm f/4L IS II USM and EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM.

Tamron have announced that they are going to issue a firmware update for the new 28-75 mm f/2.8 Di III RXD lens to fix an auto-focus issue that occurs when recording movies. The Tamron 28-75 mm f/2.8 Di III RXD for Sony cameras has proved to be very popular, already being on back-order with most retailers.

The new Sigma 105mm F1.4 DG HSM Art lens will have a suggested retail price of £1499.99 in the UK and $1,599.00 USD in the US.

Tamron has issued a statement apologizing for delays in the shipment of its new 28-75 mm f/2.8 Di III RXD lens for Sony mirrorless cameras, blaming pre-orders that greatly exceeded their expectations. The new lens is due to start shipping on 24th May.

Chinese manufacturer Yongnuo, best known for their affordable versions of Canon lenses, have announced the YN 60mm F2 MF macro lens. The nearest focus distance can reach 0.234m and it has a 1:1 magnification ratio. The built-in electromagnetic aperture supports automatic exposure in M/Av/Tv/P/B and other shooting modes, it has a half-press shutter manual focus prompt, and there are 7 aperture blades. No word yet on availability or pricing.

The Hasselblad XCD 21mm f/4 wide-angle lens is now available for sale. The XCD 21mm lens will begin shipping mid-May 2018 with an MSRP of € 2999 / $ 3750 / £ 2749 excl. VAT.

Tamron has officially announced the launch of the 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD, a high-speed standard zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. The lens will be available at Tamron's authorized USA retailers on May 24th priced at $799 and in the UK it will retails for £699.

Venus Optics has announced 4 new and unique lenses - the Laowa 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 FE Zoom, 100mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO,  17mm f/4 GFX Zero-D and 4mm f/2.8 Fisheye MFT lenses.

The Laowa 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 FE Zoom is currently the widest zoom lens available for Sony full frame E-mount cameras. The 100mm f/2.8 2:1 Macro is the 2nd member of Laowa 2:1 macro line-up. The Laowa 17mm f/4 GFX is currently the widest available native lens option for Fujifilm G-mount cameras. The 4mm f/2.8 Fisheye MFT delivers aunique circular fisheye field of view on Micro four thirds cameras.

All four lenses will be available for trial at Venus Optics’ booth (T225) in Beijing P&E Imaging fair during 3rd-6th May 2019. They are expected to be shipped in mid/late 2018.

The APO-Makro-Plasmat 105 f2.7 is the latest lens from Meyer Optik Görlitz. The Plasmat lenses, especially the Makro Plasmat (Makro meaning for 35mm film), are probably the most famous lens of the Meyer portfolio. The Apo-Makro Plasmat will launch on Kickstarter on May 1st for $2999.
