Nikon have released the Nikkor Z lens roadmap for 2018-2020, with 12 lenses planned in total. In addition to the four lenses announced today, Nikon will add five new lenses in 2019 and three new lenses in 2020.

The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR is a super-telephoto lens compatible with Nikon FX format SLR cameras. The AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR is a high-performance, FX format, super-telephoto lens that supports a 500 mm focal length. Adoption of a Phase Fresnel (PF) lens element has significantly reduced the size and weight of the lens, making hand-held super-telephoto photography easy and enjoyable.

Nikon will also release the DF-M1 dot sight (sold separately), an accessory that is very effective with super-telephoto photography and fully compatible with the new COOLPIX P1000 superzoom camera.

The AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR will be available September 13 for the suggested retail prices (SRP) of $3599.95*. The Dot Sight DF-M1 will be available for $174.95 SRP*.

Nikon has unveiled three S-line NIKKOR Z lenses, the Mount Adapter FTZ and the development of a 58mm f/0.95 S Noct lens.

The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S, NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S, and NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S are S-Line interchangeable lenses. The S-Line is a newly designated grade of NIKKOR Z lenses that adhere to a new benchmark in optical performance, while creating new definitions of quality and design. These lenses realise rendering performance that surpasses that of conventional f/4 and f/1.8 lenses.

The Mount Adapter FTZ has been designed to allow users of Nikon SLR cameras to utilise their existing NIKKOR F mount lenses with the Z mount system.

Nikon is currently developing the NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct, a standard prime manual focus lens.

The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S and NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S will be available September 27 for the suggested retail prices (SRP) of $999.95* and $849.95*, respectively. The NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S lens will be available in late October for the SRP of $599.95*. The Mount Adapter FTZ will be available September 27 for $249.95* SRP (Additional $100 savings when purchased together with a Z 7 or Z 6, through 12/31/2018).

Nikon has announced the release of two full-frame, Nikon FX format mirrorless cameras, the Z7 and Z6, as well as NIKKOR Z lenses, featuring a new, larger-diameter mount.

The Z7 has 45.7 effective megapixels, and supports a standard sensitivity range of ISO 64–25600.

The Z6 is an all-purpose FX-format camera with an effective pixel count of 24.5 megapixels, and supports the wide range of ISO 100–51200 standard sensitivities, plus full-frame 4K UHD movie recording with full pixel readout.

The MB-N10 battery pack that is currently in development will hold two EN-EL15b rechargeable Li-ion batteries.

The Nikon Z 7 will be available September 27 for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $3399.95* for the body-only configuration, or for $3999.95* SRP as a kit with the new NIKKOR Z 24-70 f/4 S lens. The Nikon Z 6 will be available in late November for the $1995.95* SRP for the body only configuration, or for the $2,599.95* SRP with the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens kit.

The new Nikon Z7 and Z6 mirrorless cameras have been leaked ahead of their official launch tomorrow.

A full set of press pictures of the two Nikon full-frame compact system cameras have appeared on the Japanese rumour site Nokishita, showing the Z7 and Z6 from various angles and also the three new lenses (Z-Nikkor 24-70mm f/4 kit lens, Z-Nikkor 35mm f/1.8, Z-Nikkor 50mm f/1.8) and F-to-Z lens mount adapter that will be unveiled at the same time.

There's no word on the actual specifications yet, but as the press photos show, the Nikon Z7 and Z6 are identical mirrorless cameras with a tilting LCD screen, top-plate LCD panel and ergonomic grip in a DSLR-design.

Nikon have released the fifth teaser video for their upcoming full-frame mirrorless camera, with personal testimony from three different photographers on how the camera works and handles.

The three photographers are Brandon Woelfel, Social Media Creator, Vivien Liu, Urban Architect and Photographer, and Marsel Van Oosten, Nature Photographer.

Van Oosten comments "It handles just like a DSLR, but physically it's totally different, because it's so lightweight", Woelfel says "Its so reliable and I'm always able to capture the most spontaneous moments" and Lui "Having a camera I can take anywhere with me is great because the more pictures you take, the greater it is for a creative".

The new Nikon mirrorless camera also appears to have a touchscreen LCD adapter, and it can be used with Nikon's huge range of F-mount lenses via an adapter.
