The Canon PIXMA TS305 and PIXMA TS205 printers offer affordable and convenient home printing. The Canon Photo Print Shop is a free app that enables you to turn photos into unique prints. Currently available for iOS , this quick and easy to use app is intuitive, with useful sizing and cropping features. You simply select the image you want to use and decide what type of product or gift you would like to create. Canon then does the rest, delivering a high quality product with vivid, true-to-life imagery, direct to your door in a matter of days.

The new Fujifilm Instax Share SP-3 SQ printer can print square-format photos taken with a smartphone on Instax Share film. Recent years have seen a rise in the sharing of square photos on social media platforms, such as Instagram, with users putting great care into every step of the process, from composition to editing and processing. With the SP-3, users can print beautiful, high quality square images in just 13 seconds to be used in DIY crafts, to decorate with or to give as a gift. Users can print up to 9 photos on one sheet using the “Collage Template”, a feature enabled by the square format of the SP-3, or use “My Template” to add text to printed photos. Available in white and black body colours, the Fujifilm Instax Share SP-3 SQ printer can print roughly 6x6cm photos from 800x800-pixel digital images at a resolution of 318 pixels per inch. The printer will be available from November 2017 for $199.95.

Kodak and its licensee, C+A Global, today unveiled the Kodak Printomatic instant-print camera that effortlessly captures and instantly prints high-quality full-colour photos right from the camera body. The Kodak Printomatic features a 10-megapixel sensor, a built-in flash and an integrated battery, alongside a 2”x3” photo printer. “The Kodak Printomatic is a contemporary camera with a wonderful balance of digital and analog technology,” says Steven Overman, President of Kodak’s Consumer and Film Division and Kodak Chief Marketing Officer. “It’s an accessible device for anybody who wants to create a lasting memory in a tangible, colourful way.” Available from late September, the Kodak Printomatic is priced at $69.99. The camera comes with a USB cable, a Quick Start Guide, a 10-pack of Kodak ZINK Photo Paper and a microSD memory card.

Prinics have announced the availability of the portable Kodak Photo Printer Mini through their North American distributor, C+A Global. Retailing for just $99.99 and available for purchase on Amazon, the easy-to-use mobile printer comes in black, white or gold models. The Kodak Photo Printer Mini supports iOS devices via Wi-Fi connection and Android devices via Wi-Fi or NFC One Touch. Through advanced fade-proof dye printing technology, the printer produces quick-drying black and white or colour 2.1x3.4” photos that will last up to 10 years thanks to humidity- and fingerprint-resistant properties.

Canon U.S.A. today announced that the Canon CarePAK PLUS accidental damage protection plan will now include Image Recovery for all consumer-level Canon printers with a memory card slot. Already included with CarePAK PLUS for Canon cameras and camcorders, Image Recovery is designed to help retrieve lost or corrupted images or video files that might otherwise be gone forever. With Canon CarePAK PLUS, customers will enjoy service provided exclusively by Canon, which no other full-coverage service plan for Canon consumer-level cameras, camcorders or printers can offer. Coverage includes genuine Canon factory service using genuine Canon parts, rapid repair processing, and 100 percent U.S.-based tech support that is never outsourced.

Canon have released two new 4-in-1 Pixma Home Office printers with print, copy, scan and fax functionality as well as WiFi and Bluetooth LE connectivity. Improved UI allows workers to optimise the capabilities of the new printers’ functions by easily navigating through the controls. The Pixma TR7550 (£179.99/€199.99) and TR8550 (£199.99/€219.99) printers have larger touch screens, 3.0 inch and 4.3 inch screens respectively, the front panel can be tilted to suit the user’s eye line. Pixma Cloud Link is compatible with the range enabling working users to print and scan documents from and to online services such as GoogleDrive, Evernote and Dropbox for increased speed and share-ability. For users wanting more from their printer, the Pixma TR8550 can be connected to an Ethernet cable for the printer to be wired to a whole network meaning users can print and scan from multiple printers at any time. This model also has the added benefit of a built-in SD card slot which gives users the flexibility of scanning and printing directly to and from the SD card so there’s no need to connect to any other device. Both printers will be available from September.

Canon have unveiled their latest professional large-format inkjet printer - the imagePROGRAF PRO-6000. At 60-inches wide, the imagePROGRAF PRO-6000 printer is the largest 12-ink printer on the market today. “With the introduction of our largest model, the imagePROGRAF PRO-6000, we round out our full line of high quality PRO Series printers,” said Toyotsugu Kuwamura, executive vice president and general manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “Our PRO Series now offers an expansive lineup of large-format inkjet solutions and sizes for a broad range of applications in the photo, fine art, proofing and graphics market segments.” The imagePROGRAF PRO-6000 printer is expected to be available in August 2017 with an MSRP of $11,995.

The compact Kodak Photo Printer Dock is a 4"x6" photo printer with smartphone support. Retailing for $139, the Kodak Photo Printer Dock is compatible with Android, iPhone, iPad, and various digital cameras, offering convenient one-touch printing directly from the device. Photographers can simply connect to the dock via Wi-Fi and print, liberating photos from the confines of the cloud and memory cards. D2T2 4PASS technology enables the printer to produce fade-resistant photos in radiant colour and excellent detail while simultaneously charging up to two devices. The free Kodak Printer Dock smartphone app allows photographers to touch up their photos before printing.

DNP today introduced their new WPS Pro Wireless Print Server. Designed exclusively for the company's DS40, DS80, DS620A, DS-RX1HS and DS820A dye-sublimation printers, the WPS Pro allows photographers to print directly from Wi-Fi compatible capture devices without the need for cables, memory cards an internet connection. This enables event photographers to roam, capture and wirelessly print candid shots taken at the company picnic, local pet store or sporting event; and perfect for the wedding photographer to capture and print the memories of the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. The WPS Pro features an easy-to-read 7” touchscreen display that allows users to easily monitor print jobs, printer status, and see remaining print counts. A single WPS Pro can connect with two DNP photo printer models for speed/redundancy or for an increased range of print size options. “Wireless tools are an important part of our customer’s increasingly flexible workflow,” said Katsuyuki Oshima, President of DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation. “The WPS Pro expands the functionality of our printers, optimises photographer workflows, and provides new opportunities for our customers to upgrade their offerings.”

At The Photography Show (18th-21st March 2017, Stand E81, NEC, Birmingham) Epson will be demonstrating a variety of its latest 17-64" Expression Premium and SureColor SC-P professional photo printers and the new SureColor P5000 17", 10-colour inkjet printer (pictured). In addition, visitors will see the 64" SC-P20000, the 10-colour 24" SC-P7000, and A3+ SC-P400, SC-P600, SC-P800 models. The 10-colour SC-P7000 with Light Black UltraChrome HDX ink configuration makes it ideally suited to high-end photographs who require the ultimate in print quality for both colour and monochrome reproduction. The A3+ SC-P400 pro-photo printer combines a lightweight and compact design with many features for creating professional-quality prints on a range of media. This printer uses a 7-colour UltraChrome HiGloss 2 ink-set with gloss optimiser to produce photos with vibrant colours and a uniform smooth gloss finish. Alternatively, the A3+ SC-P600 and A2+ SC-P800 feature a 9-colour UltraChrome HD and Vivid Magenta ink to reproduce a very wide colour gamut and deep, rich blacks and ultra-smooth tonal gradations. Visitors can also browse Epson’s range of photo and fine art roll and cut-sheet media and speak to Epson’s imaging experts throughout the show.

Epson America today announced Epson Print Layout, a software application designed to simplify the highly complex print and colour management workflow for photographers. Compatible with Epson SureColor P-Series printers, Epson Print Layout provides an intuitive linear workflow specifically designed to provide easy printer selection, layout, and colour management settings, in addition to providing a live Advanced Black-and-White Mode output preview. Available as an Adobe Photoshop  plug-in or standalone application for Windows and Mac, Epson Print Layout makes printing easier with a step-by-step selection of frequently used printing options, such as printer selection, layout, and colour settings. The program offers full ICC profile support or users can select automatic colour modes through the Epson print driver. Enhanced features include customised frame and border options for gallery-wrap printing and automatic paper sizing for panoramas. Epson Print Layout software is currently available for free download.

DNP will host a daily product giveaway of its award-winning dye-sublimation printers - including the DNP DS620A (pictured), DS820A and SnapLab+ SL620A - at WPPI 2017. Expo attendees need to visit the DNP booth #549 to enter. The daily winners will be announced at the DNP stand each day of the expo on February 7 and 8 at 3:00pm and February 9 at 2:00pm. The Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Conference (WPPI) will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The SureColor P5000 is a new professional 17-inch, 10-colour inkjet printer for photographers. Leveraging the advanced Epson PrecisionCore TFP printhead and UltraChome HDX ink set, the SureColor P5000 delivers outstanding output with an increased colour gamut gamut, higher-density blacks and twice the print permanence than the previous generation. The printer can support two different ink configurations. The SureColor P5000 Standard and Designer editions leverage Light Light Black ink for twice the overall print permanence, smooth and neutral tonal transitions and support of the Epson Advanced Black and White print mode. The Commercial Edition includes Violet ink, in place of Light Light Black, for an expanded colour gamut. The printer is available for $1.995 (both editions).
