Want to see exactly what the new Canon RF 85mm f/1.2L USM DS mirrorless camera lens looks like in the flesh?

Check out our hands-on gallery of photos of the Canon RF 85mm f/1.2L USM DS mirrorless camera lens, including a side-by-side comparison with the outwardly identical non-DS version.

DS stands for Defocus Smoothing, which creates smoother bokeh than the regular Canon RF 85mm f/1.2L USM lens by coating both sides of one of the lens elements in a special new coating never before used on a Canon lens.

Consequently the lens captures 1-stop less light at its widest aperture, so it's less well-suited to low light photography than the regular Canon RF 85mm f/1.2L USM lens.

Otherwise, the two lenses are identical in size, weight and specifications, as you can see from our gallery of hands-on photos.
