Liquid Image introduces its latest Explorer Series 8.0MP underwater camera mask

July 2012, Liquid Image, a leader in wearable technology, has announced the introduction of its Explorer Series 8.0MP underwater video camera mask. This new model records VGA video (640x480) at 30 frames per second and has the added ability of taking 8.0MP still images.

The Liquid Image Explorer Series 8.0MP model 304 is a high quality integrated waterproof swim mask/video camera that allows users to record underwater footage without having to carry a separate waterproof camera.  The camera functions to a depth of 5m/15ft, making it ideal for capturing swim and snorkel memories, whilst allowing the user to keep their hands free.

The goggle lenses are made of tempered glass and have integrated crosshairs that help users to line up shots. Operating the camera is simplicity itself: to capture a photo or record a video, users simply switch on the camera, choose the mode (video or picture) and then press the shutter button. LED lights inside the mask will indicate which mode is being used.

Downloading images is as easy as plugging in the mask to your PCs or Macs USB port, using the USB cable that comes with the product. The included software (PC only) allows users to edit their content if required. The built-in 16 MB memory can store up to 27 high resolution pictures or up to 52 seconds of video and the mask also features a micro SD card slot which can expand the memory up to 32GB for additional pictures or videos.

The mask/camera requires two AAA batteries, which are included, and the estimated battery performance is over 2 hours of video.

The Explorer Series 8.0MP model 304 is available now with an RRP of £79.99
