Liquid Image announces arrival of new
Wide Angle Scuba Series HD 1080p dive mask camera
July 2012 …… Liquid Image, a leader in wearable technology, has announced the launch of its Wide Angle Scuba Series HD 1080p dive mask camera offering a host of features for underwater fanatics.
The Liquid Image Wide Angle Scuba Series 1080p (model 324 and size extra-large model 325) is an integrated dive mask/underwater video camera that eliminates the need to carry a separate underwater camera and allows divers and enthusiastic snorkelers to record underwater footage as they see it, whilst keeping their hands free at all times.
This new model can record full HD 1080p video at 30 frames per second, plus HD 720p video at 60 frames per second, along with 12MP still images. The integrated mask/camera is waterproof to an impressive depth of 40m/130ft, which covers depths used by certified recreational divers.
With a 136 degree wide angle lens, the camera captures a larger field of view and makes it even easier for the user to record all the underwater action without missing anything.
The mask features lever style buttons which are easy to press while wearing diving gloves. These buttons are positioned along the upper right corner of the frame so they can be easily accessed and operated with just one hand. To capture a photo or record a video, users simply switch on the camera, choose the mode and then press the shutter button. LED lights inside the mask will indicate the mode to the user. In addition, the goggle lenses are made of tempered glass and have integrated crosshairs to help when lining up shots.
The mask has a micro SD/SDHC card slot and can take memory cards up to 32GB, to capture thousands of still images or record hours of video. Files can then easily been downloaded to a computer using the high speed USB cable provided. The camera includes 4 rechargeable AAA batteries plus a charger and the estimated battery life is over 3 hours of video.
The Wide Angle Scuba Series HD 1080p model 324 features a medium size silicon skirt and is now available in the UK with an RRP of £329.99
The extra-large model 325 is also available now with an RRP of £329.99
