Manfrotto Press Release
Photokina - Sept 15, 2014: Manfrotto, the world leader in the design, production and distribution of equipment and accessories for the photography and imaging industry, will be one of the protagonists of Photokina 2014, the world's leading imaging fair that brings together the industry, trade, professional users and end consumers with a common passion for photography.
Photokina is the most spectacular event dedicated to digital imaging and naturally the place where innovations are presented. Manfrotto will exploit this international occasion to launch its brand new products designed for all kinds of photographers, from enthusiasts to professionals: colored Befree Tripods, the X PRO Geared Head, the New 190X range, the Off road Collection and the Mediterranean Bags Collection.
Colored Befree Tripod: devoted to photographers who love to travel, the new Befree Tripod is now available in green, red, grey and blue. Quick to set
up and simple to use, this innovative and lightweight tripod allows photographers on trips to have a valuable and reliable support for their pictures. Thanks to the unique folding mechanism, the legs fold perfectly around the head and quick-release plate attachment into a closed position, making it only 40 cm (15.7 in) in length.
X PRO Geared Head: Manfrotto has created a new head for experienced keen photographers who have reached a high technical level thanks to their constant commitment to photography. This head designed by Manfrotto weighs only 750 g (1.65 lbs), but can support up to 4kg (8.8 lbs) of payload. Its Adapto® body is a strong and rigid technopolymer which makes this head the lightest and most precise one that Manfrotto has ever created.
Off road collection: designed for outdoor photography, this new range includes three new products: a lightweight tripod, a pair of hiking poles, and a new hiker backpacks. Simple to use, the tripod is the absolute lightest one in the Manfrotto range weighing just 650g (1.43lbs) and is perfect to carry everywhere. The hiking poles have a camera attachment on top, allowing the stick to be easily converted into a monopod whilst walking. Finally, the backpack is the best solution for hiking and photography: the removable case can store a pro-DSLR camera with lens and accessories, and the dedicated straps can carry both the Off road walking sticks and tripod. All the three products are available in red, green, blue; the backpack also in grey.
The New 190X range completes Manfrotto's offering for advanced hobbyists and professionals, reflecting all the history and heritage of the 190 family in a simple, sturdy basic product. The new 190 infact is a unique tripod that holds compactness and more transportability together with incredible stiffness. It is Manfrotto's most popular tripod and has been renewed with new exclusive and stylish features.
Besides all of the excellent and revolutionary technology placed in tripods, lighting and head proposals, Manfrotto is fully committed to the creation of a high quality bags offering, as demonstrated by the successful launch in 2014 of Pro Light collection. Manfrotto now boasts four collections comprised of its Stile, Advanced, Pro Light and Professional ranges and aims to keep on creating a wide range of bags, always designed to meet style and photographic needs in every situation, representing a real carrying solution for both photo and personal belongings..
The Mediterranean collection of National Geographic, to be presented as a preview at Photokina, is further proof of Manfrotto's commitment to engineer quality bags, able to meet the varying needs of photographers. Indeed, for this new collection, born from a collaboration of the two brands, Manfrotto has designed and studied the internal dividers in each bag, in order to give maximum protection to photographic equipment and any other electronic devices. Each bag is equipped with quick and easy access to camera equipment. The design delivers an enjoyable travelling experience and the ability to capture every special moment.
