Metz has announced a compact LED panel for smartphone and tablet photographers. Fitting into the headphone jack of your smart device, the new mecalight LED 72smart lighting panel features a swivelling base and provides up to 72 Lux of illuminance for mobile photographers. The tiny video light has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which means it can also be used off-camera for more creative lighting angles. Using a button on the back, the light function can be set to 3 levels: full output, reduced output, and flashing. The Metz mecalight LED 72smart will be available in five colours: black, white, pink, green and blue. Pricing has yet to be confirmed.

Heavily advertised throughout the show, the Blackmagic URSA is a new high-end digital motion picture camera featuring a user upgradable sensor and lens mount. Built to handle the ergonomics of large film crews as well as single-person use, the Blackmagic URSA has multiple accessories built in, including a massive 10 inch fold out on-set monitor, Super35 size 4K image sensor and internal dual raw and Apple ProRes recorders.

The Relonch camera adds an APS-C sensor and an f/2 lens to your smartphone. Importantly, this is not a working prototype but a mockup. The working one is just a hodgepodge of existing parts, with a much bigger lens taped to a rather different-looking camera body. The app, shown in the photos, seemed to be final though. Simply referred to as "High magnification super-telephoto zoom lens" and the "Large diameter telephoto zoom lens", we'd assumed that these prototypes were for Pentax's well-established range of APS-C sensor digital SLR cameras. But they're actually for a future full-frame 35mm system instead, which Pentax have confirmed they're currently working on. We're not quite sure why Pentax would choose to display mockups of two telephoto lenses, rather than a camera body, but they do provide further evidence that Pentax are set to join Canon and Nikon in the full-frame DSLR market.

The Samsung S 300mm f/2.8 ED OIS lens is still a prototype, but it'ssheer size and bulk clearly shows that Samsung mean business. It offers a fast maximum aperture of f/2.8. opticalimage stabilisation, weather sealed magnesium alloy construction to match the NX1 camera, and rather incongruously has an i-Function button just like Samsung's more consumer-oriented lenses.
