Nikon will be exhibiting its new flagship digital SLR camera, the Nikon D4S, for the first time in the UK at The Photography Show from 1st – 4th March 2014 at the NEC in Birmingham. The company has invested in an interactive stand that will host the complete camera line-up, including the new Nikon Df, D3300 and the latest Coolpix cameras, as well as its range of lenses. The D4S will also be on display at the show before it officially goes on sale, following a development announcement at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year.

Afghanistan: On the Bounce is a new title featuring photographs by Robert Cunningham. "Through glossy photos, pull-out literature, and writings by Steven Hartov, readers start from the outset of servicemembers’ deployment and finish not only with the servicemembers’ heartfelt return, but with a deeper understanding of their experience in Afghanistan," the publisher says. Cunningham took 55,000 photographs over his time as an embedded photographer, and the book features the very best of his work. The 162-page volume is available now, priced at $40.

Eye-Fi is offering all Eye-Fi Mobi users a sneak peek of its new mobile apps and cloud service. Users can preview the new applications and services for iOS, Android or Kindle devices through Eye-fi Labs, a customer engagement platform that permits Eye-Fi to directly engage consumers and partners as part of a product development process. “The new capabilities we are previewing are a natural extension of the current Eye-Fi Mobi card and mobile apps and provide a unique and compelling way to link digital cameras with the power of the cloud,” said Sam Hui, VP of product management of Eye-Fi.  “We will work closely with customers to gain insights that we will use to refine the products with the goal of delivering a delightful end-to-end experience when the products are generally available.”

Ricoh hasupdated the apps for the Ricoh Theta spherical image camera to allow users to post spherical images to Google Maps and Google+. Made possible through a collaboration between Ricoh  and Google, the Theta apps are now compatible with Photo Sphere XMP, Google's panoramic image standard. Users can also make use of the Constellations feature, which enables them to connect spherical images to make an original Street View. Olympus Japan has announced a special OM-D E-M5 Black Elite Pro Lens Kit. Comprising an Olympus OM-D E-M5 camera body and M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO lens, this Japan-only special edition features a leather-like finish on the outside of the body including the right-hand grip, plus redesigned main and sub command dials.
