Toshiba today introduced a trio of Full HD camcorders. The Toshiba X416 ($319.99) is a top-of-the line CAMILEO camcorder that offers 23x optical zoom, electronic image stabilisation, 16GB of built-in memory and SDXC memory card support. The Toshiba CAMILEO X400 ($279.99) offers a similar feature set sans the 16GB on-board storage. Both camcorders come equipped with a 5-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor that’s also capable of capturing stills. The third model, called the Toshiba CAMILEO X200 ($229.99, pictured), offers 12x optical zoom, an 8-megapixel CMOS sensor, 128MB of built-in memory and SDXC support. The CAMILEO X400 and X200 camcorders are now available for purchase, while the X416 will be available starting on 10 October 2011.

Users can explore their creativity with a traditional barrel-style camcorder that has optimal power, performance and storage for everyday video recording on the go. The X416 is a top-of-the line CAMILEO camcorder that offers an impressive 23x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom to maximize their shot range. Consumers can take advantage of its extensive 16GB[ii]memory capacity, which allows for up to three hours[iii]of Full HD video, as well as support for up to 128GB of additional storage using memory cards (not included). The X416 also doubles as a digital camera, producing 16 megapixel interpolated still photos.

The CAMILEO X400 camcorder’s powerful 23x optical zoom lens and Electronic Image Stabilization helps users fill the frame without destroying the quality of the video, while its handy Pause button makes it possible to stop wasting storage space and reduce file clutter by recording multiple moments into a single file. The X400 offers similar features to the X416, but relies on external memory through the SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot.
