X-Rite at Photokina 2014

X-Rite have announced their full educational speaker programme at Photokina 2014. Visitors will have the opportunity to come and learn from X-Rite Coloratti, Colour Experts and leading educators from across Europe about all things photography and colour management. Additionally, on Wednesday and Thursday evening visitors will have the chance to join a free Photowalk in Cologne with two of the world’s leading photographers. X-Rite’s stand will be in Hall 4.1, Stand J029.

X-Rite Announce Speaker Line Up For Photokina 2014

 

A combination of inspirational and educational seminars on stand J029 in Hall 4.1

Featuring on stand seminars throughout the week, as well as evening Photowalks on Wednesday and Thursday

Birmingham, UK, August 18, 2014 - Birmingham, UK, August 18, 2014 - X-Rite Photo Europe, the European distributor for X-Rite’s range of products aimed at the photographic and video market, confirmed their full educational speaker programme at Photokina 2014. X-Rite’s stand will be in Hall 4.1, Stand J029, and throughout the event, visitors will have the opportunity to come and learn from X-Rite Coloratti, Colour Experts and leading educators from across Europe about all things photography and colour management. Additionally, on Wednesday and Thursday evening visitors will have the chance to join a free Photowalk in Cologne with two of the world’s leading photographers.

Our team of Coloratti includes some of the world’s best photographers and we’re excited to have them at Photokina with us, sharing their knowledge and experience with photographers of all levels and abilities who will be visiting.”
 
The X-Rite Coloratti who will be presenting on stand are:
Jacob James – Jacob is an internationally published photographer, writer and photo educator specialising in travel, humanitarian and cultural documentary photography. The core of his work revolves around capturing the essence of human life and those emotions, which are relatable to people across the globe regardless of language or culture.  

Jacob is speaking on Tuesday 16th September and Wednesday 17th September on the X-Rite stand and will be showing how he captures his images and the importance of colour. Jacob will be speaking in English.

Martin Dörsch – Martin is a photographer, designer and educator, based in Austria. He works as trainer, both online and offline, helping people to perfect their photographic workflow.

Martin will be speaking every day at Photokina and looking at capturing colour in different lighting conditions, and getting camera settings right for accurate capture. Martin will be speaking in German.

Mark Wood – Mark learnt the craft of professional photography working for newspapers. Teaching is very important to him; delivering training in private workshops and at authorized training centres. Mark photographs products and interiors for design companies, as well as working on personal projects.

Mark will be speaking on Tuesday 16th September, Wednesday 17th September and Thursday 18th September at Photokina and will be talking about the art of making monochrome prints. Mark will be speaking in English.

Karsten Rose - A photographer and printmaker since 1998, Karsten has worked as a freelance photographer for international photo agencies, and is a consultant for agencies and photographers. As a freelance lecturer in digital imaging he gives courses for photographers, self-publishers and advertising agencies.

Karsten will be speaking throughout Photokina and will be talking about creating exceptional black and white images. Karsten will be speaking in German.

Adrian Weinbrecht – Adrian is a commercial photographer based in London, but shoots assignments globally. He takes the craft of photography very seriously, but doesn’t take himself too seriously. To sum up his approach to photography, he quotes Ansell Adams ‘You don’t take a photograph, you make it.’

Adrian will be speaking on Wednesday and Thursday at Photokina and will be discussing the impact of lighting; particularly looking at how cool and warm lighting can change an image. Adrian will be speaking in English

In addition, Adrian will also be leading a Photowalk on the evening of Wednesday 17th September.

Andreas Moos – Andreas is an educator and trainer with great technical expertise in colour management and the photography workflow.

Andreas is speaking on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Photokina looking at Lightroom workflow with the ColorChecker Passport and tips and tricks for monitor calibration. Andreas will be speaking in German.
 
Frank Doorhof – Frank Doorhof is a world-leading commercial and fashion photographer. Frank specialises in capturing the character of his subject, not just a pretty picture.
 
Frank is leading a photo walk on the evening of Thursday 18th September. Frank will be speaking in English.
