Conclusion

4 stars
(out of 5 stars)

The Fujifilm FinePix S7000 Zoom is a solid, dependable camera that has a quality feel about it. It reminds me of a more ergonomic Olympus C-5050 Zoom, and if you read my review of that camera you will know that is a positive comment. With a current retail price of around £400-450, the Fujifilm FinePix S7000 Zoom is competing with the likes of the Canon PowerShot G5, Nikon Coolpix 5700 and the Olympus C-5060 Wide Zoom, rather than the DSLRs and higher-end 8 megapixel digicams, and at that price the Fujifilm FinePix S7000 Zoom is definitely worth serious consideration. The major aspect that detracts from the camera's performance is the interaction, or rather the lack of it, between the EVF and LCD displays, and as I have previously said this may never be a problem for you if you tend to use just the LCD. Overall, the Fujifilm FinePix S7000 Zoom is a worthy successor to its predecessor, the popular 3 megapixel FinePix S602 Pro Zoom, offering great handling and picture quality in a very well-built body. Highly recommended!
