EIZO ColorEdge CG277 Review

Conclusion

Offering 100% SRGB and 99% Adobe RGB colour space coverage, the EIZO ColorEdge CG277 is a pricey but incredibly accurate monitor, with the clever built-in self-calibration device making it extremely straight-forward to keep it precisely calibrated. Although it doesn't natively display 4K video, something that several cameras, camcorders and even smartphones now offer, the CG277 can at least automatically downscale the footage to its 2560x1440 pixel resolution for smoother playback and editing. When you consider that the CG277 can calibrate itself and that it ships with an innovative hood that works in both landscape and portrait mode, it doesn't seem such bad value after all. In summary, the ColorEdge CG277 certainly lives up to its billing as EIZO's flagship monitor for the demanding professional.
