Sharpness at 35mm

For this test, the Fujifilm XF 16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR II lens was attached to a Fujifilm X-T5 body, which was in turn mounted to a sturdy tripod. Exposure delay mode was activated. Tonal and colour variance across the crops are due to change in natural light during the session.

The centre is remarkably sharp wide open at f/2.8, with peak performance achieved in the f/4-f/11 range. Diffraction sets in at around f/16, with its effects becoming more visible at f/22. The edges are similarly sharp wide-open at f/2.8, with the f/4-f/11 range again the optimum setting.
