Sharpness at 56mm

For this test, the Fujifilm XF 56mm F1.2 R WR lens was attached to a Fujifilm X-H2S body, which was in turn mounted to a sturdy tripod. Exposure delay mode was activated. Tonal and colour variance across the crops are due to change in natural light during the session.

The centre is remarkably sharp even wide-open at f/1.2, with peak performance achieved in the f/2-8 range.

Diffraction is only noticeable by its almost complete absence, which means that you can safely use this lens at f/11 and f/16.

The edges are almost as sharp as the centre, with the best results again achieved in the f/2-8 range.
