Sharpness at 135mm

For this test, the Panasonic Lumix S 28-200 mm F4-7.1 MACRO O.I.S. lens was attached to a Panasonic Lumix S5II body, which was in turn mounted to a sturdy tripod. Exposure delay mode was activated. Tonal and colour variance across the crops are due to change in natural light during the session.

Centre sharpness is soft wide-open at f/6.2, but excellent from f/8 through to f/11, with f/16 and especially f/22 being adversely affected by diffraction.

The edges aren't quite as sharp as the centre, with f/8 to f/11 producing the sharpest results.
