Sharpness at 100mm
For this test, the Sony FE 100mm f/2.8 STF GM OSS lens was attached to a Sony A7R II body, which in turn was mounted on a sturdy tripod. Exposure delay mode was activated. Tonal and colour variances across the crops are due to changes in natural light during the session.
The full frame at 100mm
Centre sharpness remains high from f/4 to f/16, with f/20 being adversely affected by diffraction. The edges are just as sharp as the centre, with f/4-f/16 again producing the sharpest results.
