Viltrox AF 50mm F1.4 PRO Review
Sharpness at 50mm
For this test, the Viltrox AF 50mm F1.4 PRO lens was attached to a Sony A7CR body, which was in turn mounted to a sturdy tripod. Exposure delay mode was activated. Tonal and colour variance across the crops are due to change in natural light during the session.

The full frame at 50mm
The centre is satisfyingly sharp even wide open at f/1.4, with the peak performance achieved in the f/2.8-f/8 range. Diffraction starts to set in at at f/11.
The edges are a little soft at f/1.4, sharpening up somewhat at f/2-f/2.8, with f/4-f/8 the optimum settings.
