The new ClickFree HD 700 device and DVD Photo Backup disc backup all your photographs and images automatically. Plugged in via USB port, the ClickFree HD 700 automatically launches, searches and backs up all pictures and photographs. Weighing no more than a Blackberry, the ClickFree HD 700 costs $169. The ClickFree DVD Photo Backup disc disc holds up to 2,000 pictures in over 70 different file formats.

Colour Confidence has launched a new monitor calibration and colour correction software package, the PANTONE huey and PhotoTune Bundle. “The PANTONE huey and PhotoTune Bundle has been created with accuracy and usability very much in mind”, comments Geoffrey Clements, Managing Director of Colour Confidence. “The combination of the two products makes perfect sense; any image adjustments, no matter how carefully made, can be rendered useless if you are working with an uncalibrated monitor. ” The PANTONE huey and PhotoTune Bundle is priced at £77 / €115 ex. The new SpheroCam HDR Camera System records 26 f-stops of exposure data, capturing a 360 x 180 degree full spherical image and a resolution of up to 50 mega pixels. This unique 32-bit HDR capturing device is the first camera able to measure real-world luminosity values. “The SpheroCam HDR system helps bridge the gap between real world photography and computer graphics modelling.” Peter Taylor, SpheronVR’s CGI Business Manager. Available in 30GB or 40GB versions, LaCie will be offering its smallest Little Disk yet in the 1.3-inch hard disk format. Lacie are also using the Samsung drive for the new credit-card sized USB Key Max. “The development of these small products was enabled due to Samsung’s new 1.3-inch technology that offers a small footprint with vast capacity improvement,” said Nolwenn Rozen, LaCie Mobile Product Manager.  “By using this technology in these new mobile offerings, LaCie was able to see an increase in maximum capacity from 12GB to 40GB.” The 1.3-inch Lacie Little Disk and Lacie USB Key Max are available now starting at $119.99 and $109.99 respectively.

The G-DRIVE mini Triple 500 is the world’s first 500GB portable hard drive. DroboShare is a companion product for Drobo, the world’s first storage robot, that enables users to easily share files over a Local Area Network (LAN). In the USA Drobo retails for $499 and DroboShare for $199.

The broncolor Mobil A2R is a new portable battery-operated power pack with 1200 J flash output and higher capacity. Samsung will be showcasing its entire XL range of monitors at this year’s SWPP & BPPA Convention in London, UK. Samsung XL monitors are designed for the most colour critical applications, like desktop publishing, video and photography editing and graphic design. The XL range has the following recommended retail prices: XL20 - £1,099; XL24 - £1,499; XL30 - £3,299. Visitors to the show will have the chance to win an XL20 monitor.

Lexar has increased the capacity of its entire SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) family of memory cards to 8GB. The Professional 8GB cards are speed-rated at 133x, delivering a minimum sustained write speed of 20MB per second. The Lexar Platinum II cards are speed-rated at 60x and deliver a minimum sustained write speed of 9MB per second. Standard Lexar SDHC cards are designed for a wide range of popular uses, including storing images, video, and music. “The capacity and performance of these new products allow photographers and videographers to confidently shoot without needing to change their memory cards, and allow mobile consumers to maximize the features and functionality of their cell phones and PDAs,” said John Santoro, senior product marketing manager, Lexar.  The new cards from the Professional, Platinum II, and standard lines will be available later this month.

Eye-Fi and Lexar are introducing a Lexar-branded wireless memory card based on Eye-Fi’s patent-pending technology. The new LaCie 324 is a 24 inch LCD monitor which offers superb colors thanks to its wide 92 percent NTSC gamut. The LaCie 324 also embeds a 10-bit gamma correction mechanism that minimizes banding and has a 16:10 wide-screen format. It also supports high definition video up to, and including, 1080p sources. “The LaCie 324’s feature set broadly addresses the needs of creative pros dealing both with fixed-images, as in graphic design, photography and publishing as well as with motion pictures, as in post-production and game development”, said Daniel Mayer, LaCie’s Color Business Unit Manager. The LaCie 324 monitor will be available at the end of January for $1050.
