Capture 400 Megapixel Images with the Fujifilm GFX 100

Firmware version 3.00 for the Fujifilm GFX 100 medium-format mirrorless camera adds a Pixel Shift Multi-Shot function, which combines 16 RAW images into a single 400 megapixel image!

The GFX 100 firmware version 3.00 and the new Pixel Shift Combiner software will be available to download from the 25th November 2020.

Leica Q2 Monochrom Full-frame Black and White Compact Camera

The new Leica Q2 Monochrom is the only full-frame compact camera with a dedicated black and white sensor. It features a newly developed full-frame 47.3 megapixel monochrome sensor, 4K video mode, fast 28mm F1.7 Summilux prime lens, precise autofocus and 3.68mp OLED viewfinder technology.

Other key features include up to ISO 100,000, IP52 weather-sealing, 17cm close focusing mode for macro, a discrete matt-black design with no red-dot logo, and 13 stops of dynamic range (2 more than the standard Leica Q2).

The Leica Q2 Monochrom goes on sale from today priced at £4,995 body only.

Panasonic Announces Major Firmware Updates for LUMIX S and G Series Cameras

Panasonic has just announced the release of major firmware update programs for its LUMIX S and G Series cameras.

With the S1R firmware update, 5K video-output recorded internally in 4:2:0 10bit will become available.

The improved auto-focus from the recently released Lumix S5 will be rolled out for the S1, S1R and S1H.

The S1 will get firmware update 2.0 in the first half of 2021, which will include V-Log recording, 5.9K/C4K and 4K60/50p 4:2:0 10bit internal video recording, and 5.9K/4K/Anamorphic (4:3) 3.5K 12-bit RAW video data recording over HDMI on an Atomos Ninja V.

Nikon Z7 II and Z6 II Feature Dual Processors, Dual Card Slots and 4K/60p Video

The new Nikon Z7 II and Nikon Z6 II are the next-generation versions of its flagship Z7 and Z6 mirrorless cameras.

They principally add dual EXPEED 6 processing engines, faster and deeper buffers, dual card slots and 4K/60p video capabilities.

They both support a new power battery pack – the MB-N11 – that features vertical shooting, as well as the new WR-R11b wireless remote.

The Nikon Z7 II is priced at £2999 / $2699 and the Nikon Z6 II will cost £1999 / $1999 when they are released sometime in "Winter 2020".

Nikon Z7 II and Z6 II Launch on October 14th 2020

Nikon are set to unveil the Z7 II and Z6 II full-frame mirrorless cameras on October 14th 2020.

Announced via a countdown on the Nikon USA website, the second generation of the Z6 and Z7 will make their worldwide debut at 12.00AM EDT / 5.00AM GMT / 6.00AM CET.

Other than confirming the Z7 II and Z6 II product names, Nikon have not revealed anything else about the two new cameras.
