CNET have reviewed the new Casio Exilim EX-Z600, which has 6 megapixels, 3x zoom lens and a 2.7 inch LCD.
“Slide this little camera out of your pocket, and people are sure to ooh and ahh over its large and bright 2.7-inch LCD. In typical Casio Exilim fashion, the 6-megapixel EX-Z600 is slender, stylish, highly portable, and easy to use—even for beginners.”

TrustedReviews have reviewed the Samsung Pro815, an 8 megapixel digital camera with a massive 15x optical zoom lens and a 3.5” LCD screen.
“The main feature on the back of the camera is of course the huge 3.8in LCD monitor screen. With 235,000 pixels it is nice and sharp, and also quite bright, but it is also highly reflective, limiting its usefulness in bright sunlight. However the 815 also has a very good electronic viewfinder, which although less than half an inch across also has a resolution of 235,000 pixels, making it one of the sharpest I’ve ever seen.”

DIWA member and Norwegian website Digit.no have reviewed the Canon Digital IXUS 800 IS digital camera, which offers 6 megapixels, image stabilized 4x zoom lens (first time on an IXUS) and ISO 800.
“The name Canon IXUS has an amazing reputation for high quality and excellent design. The Digital IXUS 800 IS adds 4x zoom lens with optical image stabiliser, optical viewfinder and a 2.5” LCD screen to the long list of typical IXUS features. Its beautifully shaped metal body with its delicate silky finish gives the camera an attractive appearance. But be aware; it is also very sensitive to scratches and will soon look worn and old. The smooth surface also gives a slippery grip feeling and the camera is not shock resistant. The camera delivers 6 MP resolution “only”, yet this is more than sufficient for any casual photographer, contradicting the common misunderstanding of image quality being synonymous with number of megapixels. On the test bench, the IXUS 800 IS performed well, with good image quality, though not without flaws. The compact lens has numerous optical imperfections from design compromises, resulting in mediocre sharpness and excessive colour fringing, especially at telephoto. On the other hand, the camera delivers excellent exposure, almost perfect colour rendition, neutral white balance and excellent, fast and reliable image processing. Image noise is well suppressed, with fine detail definition in high quality A4 format prints with all sensitivities lower than ISO 800. In practical use, the IXUS 800 IS delivers images that most amateurs will rank as outstanding. Recent price drop has improved the camera’s value for money rating, but it is still a bit more expensive than many competitors.”

CNET have reviewed the Sony T10, a 7 slim megapixel digital camera with a 3x zoom lens, 2.5 inch LCD screen, optical image stabilization and a fastest ISO speed of 1000.
“This time, Sony serves up the 7.2-megapixel Cyber Shot DSC-T10, which lands between the 6-megapixel DSC-T9 and the 7.2-megapixel DSC-T30 in the company’s line. The DSC-T10 doesn’t sport the fancy plexiglass back panel or the 3-inch LCD of the T30, but it’s got most of that camera’s other features and a nice looking 2.5-inch LCD of its own. To keep things interesting, Sony has offered a choice of four colors for the T10: black, pink, silver, and white.”

Imaging Resource have published their review of the Fujifilm FinePix F30, which offers ISO 3200, 6 megapixels, 3x optical zoom lens and a 2.5 inch LCD.
“What all this means is that while ISO 1600 and 3200 may be just okay on the F30, ISO 800 is downright great. And, for the most part, ISO 800 is the most you’ll need since it lets you shoot in a variety of low-light situations—indoor events such as parties; group photos at restaurants; rock concerts—without turning on your flash.”

DPReview have just reviewed the Ricoh GR Digital, an 8 megapixel compact digicam based on the GR Series of 35mm compact film cameras.
“A niche product, and one that Ricoh should be applauded for designing in a market stuffed with ‘me too’ cameras, but one that its hard to wholeheartedly recommend. If it had breathtaking image quality the price would be irrelevant, but as it stands you’re paying nearly as much as a Nikon D50 outfit for the camera…”

Steves Digicams have reviewed the Kodak Easyshare Z612 camera, which offers 6 megapixels, 12x optical zoom lens and a 2.5 inch LCD.
“Ergonomics are excellent. I found the Z612’s body felt comfortable and secure in my hands thanks to the extra large handgrip. The controls are well placed and functional, positioned within easy reach of your thumb and index finger. The onscreen menu system was logically organized, and can be accessed whether you’re using the LCD or EVF. Both displays worked very well in various lighting situations. Outdoors the LCD was a pleasure to use, even with the bright sun shining directly onto it. While I was pleased with the quality of the EVF, I was sad to see there is no form of dioptric adjustment. In marginal lighting conditions, both displays “gain up” nicely, allowing you to successfully frame the subject.”

PopPhoto have published their review of the Fujifilm FinePix F30, which offers ISO 3200, 6 megapixels, 3x optical zoom lens and a 2.5 inch LCD.
“The Fujifilm Finepix posted impressive numbers in the lab, keeping noise at bay all the way up to ISO 3200, which scored a 2.45 (Moderate) in our noise test, with just about a 20% drop in resolution (1310-Very High) over the resolution results for ISO 100 (1655-Extremely High.) Fujifilm is doing a lot of things right with their in-camera processing and noise suppression algorithms to post results such as these.”

Imaging Resource have reviewed the new 5 megapixel Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ3 camera.
“The Panasonic Lumix LZ3 is a nice little camera at a very affordable price, particularly considering that it sports a 6x, optically stabilized zoom lens. Panasonic is very justifiably proud that they’ve managed to bring optical image stabilization to their entire product line, from top to bottom. The Panasonic LZ3 did quite well overall in our testing, delivering good bright color, good resolution, and only moderate lens distortion.”

Trusted Reviews have reviewed the 7 megapixel, 12x zoom Kodak Easyshare P712 digital camera.
“In terms of overall performance it also does quite well. It starts up in about 3.5 seconds, which isn’t bad considering the size of the lens it has to roll out. Shot to shot times aren’t bad either, although it doesn’t have a conventional continuous mode. Instead it has “last burst” and “first burst” modes, which save a series of pictures either when the shutter is pressed or when it is released - the actual number of shots depends on the file type selected. In first burst mode it shoots 10 frames in about eight seconds.”
