The Broncolor Siros monolight combines unbeatable flash- and super-fast charging times with reliable and intuitive handling. At 400 and 800 joules, Siros will not only be available in two output versions but also as a basic- or S-model. The Siros alsohas  integrated PocketWizard receivers which allow for the integration in already existing setups but also open the gates to the world of HyperSync photography, which enables a shutter speed of up to 1/8000s.

Tthe new HMI 1600 light system will be presented as a powerful addition to the already existing broncolor 200-800 watt continuous light range. The multi-purpose continuous light with its unique bayonet system allows the use of different reflectors and therefore makes it the first choice for photographers with high requirements in terms of performance, shaping and color, both for still and moving Images.

Both the Broncolor Siros and the Broncolor HMI 1600 will be available from mid-January 2015.

Lexar have announced the fastest UHS-II memory cards available on the market today. The new Lexar Professional 2000x SDHC/SDXC UHS-II cards offer transfer speeds up to 300MB per second and write speeds up to 260MB per second. Additionally, every 2000x SDHC/SDXC UHS-II card includes a SD UHS-II reader for high-speed file transfer of photos and videos from the card to any PC or Mac. The Professional 2000x and 1000x SDHC/SDXC UHS-II cards are backwards compatible with older cameras and readers, performing at UHS-I and Class 10 speeds. The Lexar Professional 2000x card will be available in Q4 with MSRPs of £135.99 (64GB) and £77.99 (32GB).

Lexar also announced new Professional 1000x SDHC/SDXC UHS-II cards and the new Professional Workflow SR2, a SD UHS-II USB 3.0 reader. The Lexar Professional 1000x card will also be available in Q4 and has MSRPs of £400.99 (256GB), £128.99 (128GB), £71.99 (64GB), £40.99 (32GB), and £23.99 (16GB), while the Lexar Professional Workflow SR2 reader has an MRSP of £22.99 and will be available in Q4.

Ricoh is exhibiting three K mount interchangeable lenses as reference models at Photokina 2014. The HD PENTAX-DA 16-85mm F3.5-5.6ED DC WR (available Winter 2014) will feature a weather-resistant construction, high-grade HD coating, smooth, quiet AF operation thanking to a lens-installed AF driving motor, and a small and light weight size. In addition a high magnification super-telephoto zoom lens and a large diameter telephoto zoom lens are also being shown.

The ZEISS Distagon T* 1,4/35 ZM is a new prime lens for Leica M rangefinder cameras. At a maximum aperture of f/1.4, this lens creates a pleasing bokeh, which optically enhances the background as the main composition element. At the same time it directs attention to the main motif in the foreground. Optimized for digital sensors, the Distagon T* 1,4/35 ZM also stands out for its excellent flat image field. Thanks to the Distagon’s optical design, the lens delivers a high resolution across the entire image field. The Zeiss Distagon T* 1,4/35 ZM will be available worldwide, in silver and black, starting in the fourth quarter of 2014. The suggested retail price will be EUR 1.679,84 or USD 2.290,00.

The Hasselblad H5D-50c Wi-Fi is a Wi-Fi enabled medium-format camera. The H5D-50c with Wi-Fi makes it possible for users to fully control the camera and browse/view images on iPhone/iPad on location via Phocus Mobile software, without the need for a computer. It also features a 'Live View' function, allowing photographers to see and zoom in on a live image on the rear LCD even when the camera is untethered. The Hasselblad H5D-50c Wi-Fi will be available first in Europe at the end of November and will retail at €21,400 excl. tax. Between January and March 2015 Hasselblad is offering photographers the opportunity to upgrade their H5D-50c model for the new Wi-Fi version for €500. All new features (except Wi-Fi) will be available to H5D-50c and CFV-50c owners as a firmware upgrade.

The Leica S (Type 007) is the new top model of the Leica S-System. With a burst frequency of up to 3.5 frames per second, full-HD video in full-frame medium-format sensor size and 4K video recording, fast Live View mode and exceptional imaging quality at all ISO settings, the Leica S (Type 007) once again documents its status as the benchmark in the medium-format segment. The launch of the Leica S (Type 007) is planned for spring 2015; £18,720.00 RRP

The Leica S-E is the entry-level model in the Leica S medium-format system. The Leica S-E provides practically all technical advantages of the Leica S (Type 006) and presents an attractive alternative within the Leica S-System. The new colour scheme, with a top deck in anthracite grey paint and a silver anodised shutter speed dial, adds even more to its attraction.
The Leica S-E will retail at £12,480 RRP and will be available from September 2014 from Leica Store Mayfair, Leica Store Burlington and selected Leica dealers.

The Leica X (Typ 113) is a new premium compact camera. Featuring a new Leica Summilux 23 mm f/1.7 ASPH. prime lens and a 16.2 megapixel APS-C format CMOS sensor, the Leica X (Typ 113) also offers fast, precise, and almost-silent autofocus and full-HD video quality. The Leica X (Typ 113) is now available from Leica Store Mayfair, Leica Store Burlington and authorised dealers. Retailing at £1550.00 RRP.

The Leica X-E is expanding the Leica X family with a new camera model made in Germany. The particularly compact and lightweight X-E has all the features that characterise a Leica camera: an outstanding fast lens, the best materials and a premium finish. The camera also features an unmistakable design that, in the case of the X-E, is further emphasised by special details – like the titanium look of its body and control elements matched to its silver lens. Leather trim in the colour metallic rounds off its elegant looks. The Leica X-E is now available from Leica Store Mayfair, Leica Store Burlington and authorised Leica, retailing at £1250.00.

The Leica V-Lux (Typ 114) is a new compact camera for travel, wildlife and sports photography. The new digital compact camera combines a high-performance lens, superior imaging qualities and high speed in a compact and handy form. The Leica V-Lux (Typ 114) will be available from Leica Store Mayfair, Burlington and authorised Leica dealers from October 2014, retailing at £925.00. The camera comes complete with Adobe Photoshop Lightroo, the professional workflow solution for still picture and video processing, available as a free download after product registration.
 

The high-performance Leica D-Lux (Typ 109) compact camera features a fast Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9–34 mm f/1.7–2.8 ASPH. zoom lens with a very fast initial aperture and an extremely practical zoom range equivalent to 24 to 75 mm in 35 mm format. In comparison to the previous model, it offers a larger Four Thirds sensor that, in combination with its lens ensures superior picture quality in all shooting situations. The familiar, extensive package of features, with automatic mode, manual setting options and improved video capability, now includes an integrated electronic viewfinder with 2.8 MP resolution and a Wi-Fi module. The Leica D-Lux (Typ 109)  will be available from authorised Leica dealers from November 2014, £825.00 RRP.

Leica have launched a special edition for the 60th anniversary of the Leica M rangefinder system. The set consists of a Leica M-P digital camera (Type 240) and the fast Leica Summilux-M 35 mm f/1.4 ASPH. lens, both in special versions created by Audi Design that pay homage to the essence of photography and carry it back to its origins. The Leica M Edition 60 will be available at £12,000 RRP from Leica Store Mayfair and Leica Store Burlington starting October 2014.

The Leica M-P (Typ 240) is the next generation of the Leica rangefinder camera for professional photographers. Based on the otherwise identical Leica M, the Leica M-P offers all the technical advantages of the Leica M-System and several additional features, for example an enlarged buffer memory. The Leica M-P (Typ 240) is available now from authorised Leica dealers in two different versions: a black-paint version and a traditional silver chrome version. The Leica M-P (Typ 240) complements the Leica M. Both cameras will be marketed together.
