Fujifilm has launched Graphite Silver and Graphite Editions of the X-T2 and X-Pro2 flagship interchangeable lens cameras. The elegant FUJIFILM X-T2 Graphite Silver Edition is supplied with stylish tailor-made accessories whilst the FUJIFILM X-Pro2 Graphite Edition includes the compact, fast and lightweight interchangeable lens of the same colour, the FUJINON XF23mm F2 R WR.

The Panasonic LUMIX FZ82 superzoom camera features ultra-wide and dynamic zoom, 4K video recording and 4K PHOTO. The FZ82 features the LUMIX DC VARIO 20mm ultra wide-angle lens with a 60x optical zoom and comes with USB charging to allow an even quicker charge. The Panasonic LUMIX FZ82 will be available from March 2017 and will RRP at £329.99.

Panasonic has announced the new LEICA DG VARIO-ELMARIT 12-60mm / F2.8-4.0 lens, the renewal of four LUMIX G lenses and a firmware update for its LEICA DG VARIO-ELMAR 100-400mm / F4.0-6.3 lens.

Ricoh today announced the industry's first camera capable of delivering up to 24 hours of fully spherical, 360-degree live video streams in 2K resolution at 30 frames per second. Currently on display at CES 2017, the camera and related technology will be sold as the Ricoh R Development Kit, available in spring 2017. A unique and first-of-its-kind feature of the Ricoh R technology is that the video is stitched within the camera in real time to the Equirectangular Projection Format, which is the standard format for fully spherical images. Video is then output via HDMI or USB. The Ricoh R Development Kit consists of the camera, camera stand, downloadable software development kit, plus image-control tools and source code.

Nikon has announced the upcoming U.S. launch of its D5600 digital SLR camera. First unveiled in November 2016, the Nikon D5600 is a new entry-level DSLR with a 24-megapixel APS-C sensor and a vari-angle touchscreen. Other notable features include built-in Wi-Fi, SnapBridge compatibility (which utilises Bluetooth low energy technology to let the D5600 maintain a constant, low-power link with a smartphone or tablet), a viewfinder with ~95% frame coverage and ~0.82x magnification, and a sensitivity range of ISO 100-25600. During viewfinder shooting, the refined touch Fn function offers an intuitive alternative to using the command dial or multi-selector: now photographers can operate the Auto Sensitivity control, as well as selecting the focus point or adjusting other important settings, via the touchscreen. And a frame advance bar, inherited from Nikon’s professional D5 and D500 cameras, makes it possible to quickly scroll through images in playback mode. For movie shooters, the Time-Lapse Movie function makes it simple to transform slow-moving scenes into high-speed sequences. The camera will go on sale later this month at the suggested retail price of $799.95 with the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens. It will also be available in a two-lens kit option, including the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR and AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED lenses, for $1,149.95. Additionally, the Nikon D5600 will be sold as a body only for $699.95 or with a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens for $1,199.95.

The Canon PowerShot SX430 IS is a new superzoom camera featuring a 20-megapixel CCD, 45x optical zoom, Wi-Fi and Dynamic NFC connectivity. The brand new Date Button adds a date and time stamp to your images. The Canon PowerShot SX430 IS will be available later this year at selected retailers with a RRP of £229.99/€299.99.

The new Canon IXUS 185 and IXUS 190 are the slimmest cameras in the Canon IXUS range. Each new model comes with a 20-megapixel CCD imager, a 10x zoom lens with Intelligent Image Stabilisation, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The IXUS 190 additionally offers Dynamic NFC (near-field communication). The cameras' Easy Auto feature automatically selects the best camera settings for you, and locks buttons to help you avoid pressing anything by mistake. For added ease, Auto Zoom intelligently selects the best framing for stills and movies, all dependent on the number of people in shot. Both cameras are capable of recording HD movies in 720p resolution. The Canon IXUS 185 will be available next month with an RRP of  £119.99/€149.99. The IXUS 190 will be available at selected retailers from February 2017 with an RRP of £169.99/€219.99.

Canon today unveiled their new PowerShot G9 X Mark II premium compact camera. Featuring a 20.1-megapixel 1"-type sensor and a 28-82mm (eq.) f/2-4.9 lens, the CanonPowerShot G9 X Mark II offers a new Digic VII image processor, Dual Sensing Image Stabilisation, 0.14-second auto-focus, improved subject tracking and a maximum continuous shooting speed of 8.2fps in raw shooting mode. Dynamic NFC lets you quickly connect and transfer images to compatible smart devices, including the Canon Connect Station, to easily share and safely store your photos and movies. The new Bluetooth compatibility means you can maintain a constant camera connection, so you can see and share your photographs via a phone or tablet even when your camera is tucked away. The camera body is 25% thinner than that of the original PowerShot G9 X. The PowerShot G9X Mark II will be available from February 2017 with an RRP of £449.99/€569.99/$529.99.

Meike have launched a new fisheye lens for Sony E-mount compact system cameras with APS-C sized sensors. Featuring 6 elements in 5 groups and a 9-bladed aperture diaphragm, the Meike 6.5mm f/2 lens has a diagonal angle of view of 190° and offers a minimum focus distance of 2" (5cm). Boasting "supeiror multi-layer nano coating" to minimuse flare, this manual-focus lens weighs in at 300 grams and sells for £125.99 including a lens pouch.

YI Technolgy has announced plans to unveil the YI 4K+ at CES 2017, the first action camera to capture 4K photos and videos at 60fps. The company also plans to fly the YI Erida drone, the world’s fastest tricopter, for the first time live in the US. “2016 has been a whirlwind of product launches including several new action and home security cameras, the YI Erida drone, our first mirrorless camera the YI M1, as well as an exciting partnership with Google to develop a virtual reality camera rig,” said Sean Da, CEO of YI Technology. “CES 2017 is an important milestone for us as we look to demonstrate our full product line and reveal novelty solutions. London-based design studio Wolf in Motion has unveiled Magic Hour, a VR photography simulator for taking "dream-like" pictures. Magic Hour's VR camera has similar characteristics to those of a high-end camera and offers full control on exposure, aperture ratio, shutter speed, focal length, ISO and white balance. It can optically reproduce the physics of any camera or lens but also easily go beyond the realm of the possible. Magic Hour's hand-crafted digital playground offers countless photographic opportunities from wildlife encounters to painting light with the stars. While experienced photographers will have fun experimenting in ways they have never been able to with a physical camera, newcomers will be able to learn the technical aspects of photography through a rewarding interactive experience.:"The arrival of consumer VR has unlocked exciting new opportunities in training and education," says Charlie Fuller, founding partner at Wolf in Motion.
