Sharpness at 230mm
For these sharpness tests the Fujifilm XC 50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS lens was attached to a Fujifilm X-E2 body, which in turn was mounted on a sturdy tripod. Slight tonal changes are due to slight changes in natural light during the session.
The full frame at 230mm
At 230mm the centre isn't very sharp wide open, with peak performance achieved at f/11. Diffraction sets in at around f/16, with its effects becoming more visible at f/22.
The edges are somewhat soft from f/6.7 - f/11, with f/16 the optimum setting.
