Panasonic Lumix S Pro 50mm F1.4 Review

Sharpness
The sharpness tests for this review were carried out using a real-world subject rather than a test chart. The Panasonic Lumix S Pro 50mm F1.4 lens was mounted on a Panasonic S1R body, which in turn was mounted on a sturdy tripod. Self-timer mode was activated. Slight tonal changes are due to slight changes in natural light during the session.
The full frame at 50mm
Both center and edge sharpness are excellent wide open at f/1.4 and outstanding between f/1.8 and f/8. At f/11 and f/16 sharpness across the frame is beginning to drop-off due to diffraction.
