Sharpness at 85mm
For this test, the Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG HSM for Sony E-Mount lens was attached to a Sony A7 III body, which in turn was mounted on a sturdy tripod. Exposure delay mode was activated. Tonal and colour variances across the crops are due to changes in natural light during the session.
The full frame at 85mm
Centre sharpness is outstanding from f/1.8 all the way through to the minimum aperture of f/16. The edges are commendably almost as sharp as the centre, with f/2.8 to f/16 producing the sharpest results.
