The Fujifilm GF 100-200mm F5.6 R LM OIS WR is a new telephoto zoom Lens for the GFX medium format camera system. The lens is the first telephoto zoom lens of its kind that has a 35mm equivalent focal range of 79-158mm. Thanks to its optical image stabiliser and weather resistant construction, the GF100-200mm is ideal for photographers shooting landscape and nature photography.

The GF 100-200mm F5.6 R LM OIS WR will be available from 14th February 2019 for $1999.

Olympus have registered a new camera at the United States Federal Communications Commission, which some sites are claiming will be called the Olympus E-M1X.

Olympus USA have released a short teaser video for the Olympus OM-D EM1X, which now has a scheduled launch date of January 24th 2019.

The 18 second video shows the EM1X being used at several sporting events, including at a swimming pool and a beach, suggesting that this new camera will be rugged enough and fast enough for professional level sports photography.

Olympus have posted another 19-second teaser video on YouTube, which shows a few more glimpses of the upcoming OM-D EM1X being used at a motorsports event, plus a shadowy silhouette of the rear of the camera.

On January 16th, Olympus released a third teaser video, this time showing the E-M1X being used in the great outdoors, strongly hinting at a high level of weatherproofness.

Measuring 144.37 x 146.765 x 75.345mm, the Olympus E-M1X will be a sports camera with a built-in battery grip, at least according to 43rumors.com, and will be released in January 2019.

Leaked images showing the Olympus OM-D E-M1X have now emerged from rumor site 43rumors, showing what seems to be a legitimate pre-production version of the camera. As you can see, its pretty big for Mirco Four Thirds camera, especially with the vertical battery grip attached!

Rumored specs include a new 20 megapixel sensor, a 50 megapixel handheld high-resolution shooting mode, swivelling LCD screen, AF joystick (first time on an Olympus camera), 18fps burst shooting, and an incredible 7.5 stops of image stabilisation.

The new Olympus OM-D E-M1X should make a more official appearance in January 2019, with actual release slated for the 24th January.

The Sony Alpha A9 camera will receive several major enhancements to its autofocus (AF) performance and image quality, as well as a variety of new features that are designed to improve the overall workflow for professional photographers.

In addition, new software updates for the Alpha A7R III and A7 III will be available, adding the latest ‘Real-time Eye AF’ enhancements and interval recording capabilities.

Sony has announced the release of a new ‘Imaging Edge’ mobile application plus several updates to the ‘Remote’, ‘Viewer’ and ‘Edit’ desktop applications, that will bring new features to all Sony imaging customers ranging from casual hobbyists to working professionals.

Sony have just announced the new A6400 APS-C mirrorless camera. Here are the key specifications of the A6400:

The Sony Alpha A6400 will ship in Europe in February 2019 priced at approximately £950 / $900 / €1050. It will also be offered as a kit with the SELP1650 lens priced at approximately £1,000 or in a kit with the SEL18135 lens priced at approximately £1,300.

Sony have also announced the new Imaging Edge mobile app for the Alpha system, and upcoming new firmware updates for the Alpha A9 (Version 5.0, March 2019), A7R III and A7 III (Version 3.0, April 2019) and the Alpha A9 again (Version 6.0, Summer 2019).

Nikon have updated the lens roadmap for the Z series mirrorless camera system. The 20 mm f/1.8 S, 50 mm f/1.2 S and 14-24 mm f/2.8 S lenses will now definitely ship in 2020, while the 24mm f/1.8 S has been moved from 2020 to 2019. In addition, 7 TBA lenses are now scheduled for 2021, bringing the overall total to 23.

Nikon are adding Eye AF, RAW video output and CFexpress Support to the Z6 and Z7 full-frame mirrorless cameras. The new features will be incorporated in new firmware being developed for the Nikon Z 7 and Z 6, which will be displayed at the CES 2019 show in Las Vegas. There's no confirmed release date yet for the firmware update.

The NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 is the world’s first full-frame ultra-wide-angle lens to boast a flat front element. This unique design feature allows use of 82 mm filters without the need for bulky filter holders.

The new Nikon Z 14-30mm f/4 lens will be available in April for £1349 / €1499 / $1299.

The Nikon Z6 full-frame mirrorless camera is now available as part of a new Filmmaker’s Kit, which includes a range of equipment and accessories that will help users tap into the Z6’s advanced video features.

The Nikon Z6 Filmmaker’s Kit will be available in late January 2019 for a suggested retail price of $3,999.95.

The 3 Legged Thing Zelda is the first camera-specific L-Bracket designed to fit Nikon’s Z series range of full frame mirrorless cameras.

Zelda from 3 Legged Thing is expected to be released in early February 2019, with a suggested retail price of £89.99 / $99.99.

Zeiss have released a hands-on video with the upcoming ZX1 full-frame mirrorless camera.

Instagram user and artist @nohcheonwoong was seemingly so incensed by the performance of the Canon EOS R mirrorless camera that he decided to turn it into an art installation by painting it, top to bottom, front to back. Commenting:

Instagram user Yusuf Kathawala (@yusufk1207) has published the first real-world shot of the upcoming NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct lens mounted on the Nikon Z7 mirrorless camera.

You can't actually see all of the lens in the photo, but even so, it's clearly going to be huge!

Accroding to yusufk1207, who seems to be an employee of Nikon Professional Services in India, the NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct lens will be available in January 2019 "most probably".

Kipon are the world's first third-party manufacturer to release new lenses for the Nikon Z and Canon R full-frame mirrorless camera systems. The new Kipon Elegant range of lenses will feature 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm and 90mm f/2.4 optics.
