Lomography has just launched its first 110 format colour negative film. Featuring a sensitivity of ISO 200/24°, the Lomography Color Tiger 110 is suitable for all 110 format film cameras including Lomography’s own Fisheye Baby 110. Note that unlike the black-and-white Orca 100 the Color Tiger has a backing paper and a frame counter so you can see at any time at which frame you are. This makes it convenient to use with 110 cameras that don´t stop automatically at every frame. The Lomography Color Tiger 110 is available from the Lomography Online Store for €6.90.

The Lomographic Society has announced a new special edition of its La Sardina film camera.  Dressed in blue, red and white the ‘Guvnor’ Edition features a London “city map” on the outside of its body and comes complete with Fritz the Blitz, a flash gun in a matching blue colour. Otherwise its specifications are identical to that of the standard La Sardina model, including a 22mm lens with an angle of view of 88 degrees and a fixed aperfure of f8, an independent MX switch for multiple exposures,  and two shutter speed settings, 1/100 second and Bulb. Hot on the heels of the announcement of the Lomography Orca BW 100 110 film, the Lomographic Society has unveiled a new 110 format film camera, the Lomography Fisheye Baby 110. Available in two versions, the Fisheye Baby 110 Basic (€35) and the Fisheye Baby 110 Metal (€49), the new camera takes circular fisheye shots on 110 format film. The main difference between the two versions is that the Fisheye Baby 110 Metal comes with a PC flash adapter, whereas the Basic version lacks this feature.

Lomography Manchester has been invited by CityCo – Manchester’s city centre management company – to erect a LomoWall to celebrate the start of the 2012 Canal Festival. A LomoWall is an actual physical wall covered in thousands of snap shot-sized analogue photographs. “Close up, visitors will be able to enjoy each photo individually, but when viewed from afar the LomoWall resembles a fascinating mosaic artwork in its own right,” the organisers say. The wall will inhabit a 30 meter by 3 meter space and will be made up of over 14’000 individual photographs. Submission will be accepted until 3 June 2012. For more details, visit the website below.

In addition to the LomoWall Manchester, Lomography UK is also planning to erect an Olympic themed LomoWall at the Museum of London this summer. An actual physical wall covered in thousands of snap shot-sized analogue photographs, the LomoWall will span the Museum of London’s foyer and rotunda. “The LomoWall is likely to be the largest collection of analogue photographs and contributing is a fun way to get into the spirit if the London 2012 Games,” says Linda Scott, Marketing Manager at Lomography UK. “For the display Lomography has photographed over 30 judo, equestrian, archery and tennis Team GB athletes training for the London 2012 Paralympic Games. The Lomographic Society has announced the LomoKino Mubi Edition, the first special edition of the LomoKino Movie Maker, which allows users to capture experimental “Lomographic” movies on 35mm film. Every LomoKino MUBI Edition package comes with a scene of “Ashes”, a LomoMovie made by one of the world’s greatest filmmaking talents Apichatpong Weerasethakul whose film “Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives” won the Palme D’Or in 2010. You will find a part of his LomoMovie spooled into the LomoKino Scope viewer.

Lomography has announced a new 110 format black-and-white film called Orca BW 100. With a sensitivity of ISO 100/21°, the Orca BW 100 is Lomography’s very first 110 film and, as the company puts it “only the peak of a 110 film iceberg that is waiting to be released.” The first production run of the Orca B&W 100, consisting of just 5000 cartridges, is exclusively available for pre-order from the Lomography Online Shop at €6.90 per roll. Pre-ordered films are expected to ship from 25th May. Note that this first Orca edition has a missing back-paper; this means is that each frame will need to be counted manually because the spool does not stop when the film is done. Also, the last 4 photos on each 24 frame roll might have some light leaks.

The Lomographic Society has launched a range of limited-edition La Sardina film cameras. Wrapped in ten various fabrics, the La Sardina Beach Edition comes in two flavours: the La Sardina St Tropez ships without a flash and is available for £59, whilst the La Sardina Capri comes bundled with a matching flash gun for £99.

Fujifilm North America has announced it will implement price increases for disposable cameras as well as consumer and professional films in the US, effective 1 August 2012. Prices for consumer and professional photographic film, including black and white, colour negative, and colour reversal films will increase by approximately 20%. Prices for consumer One-Time-Use cameras will rise by approximately 15%.

The Lomographic Society has announced a trio of new, special-edition cameras. Comprising the Diana F+ Neptune Green (£89), the Diana Mini Coral Fusion (£99) and the Fisheye 2 Faded Denim (£79), the Monochrome Editions are aimed at devoted Lomographers as well as film photography aficionados in general. The Lomographic Society has launched the special-edition La Sardina Splendour 35mm film camera. Commemorating the early days of street photography, the Sardina Splendour features a 22mm f/8 lens, and comes bundled with the dedicated Fritz the Blitz flash gun. Lomography has announced the Diana F+ Sahara special-edition medium-format film camera. Decorated with palm trees and pyramids, the Diana F+ Sahara is wrapped in printed leather and comes bundled with a flash unit. Using 120 Film, you can experiment with multiple exposures, long exposures and even pinhole shots. The Diana F+ Sahara is available for €99 from the Lomography Online Shop.

Lomography has announced the Diana F+ Cai Guo-Qiang special-edition medium-format film camera. Limited to 1,000 pieces, the Diana F+ Cai Guo-Qiang features the work of renowned Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang and commemorates the artist’s first solo exhibition at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Doha, Qatar. Bundled with a flash unit, the latest Diana F+ clone launches in Lomography Gallery Stores on 28th March but you can already buy it in the Lomography Online Shop for €99.

Limited to just 1000 pieces, the Lomo LC-A+ Silver Lake edition celebrates the heritage behind the Lomo LC-A+, the little camera credited with starting the analogue “toy” camera movement. It comes adorned in genuine brown leather and packaged in a specially designed wooden collector’s box. Every camera is numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Featuring a “Minitar 1” 32mm f/2.8 lens, a hot-shoe for an external flash and a multiple exposure switch, the Lomo LC-A+ Silver Lake takes standard 35mm film cartridges and is available for €379.00.

Kodak has announced the discontinuance of three colour reversal (transparency) films. Blaming “a steady decrease in sales and customer usage, combined with highly complex product formulation and manufacturing processes,” the company is retiring its Kodak Professional Ektrachrome E100G and E100VS, as well as Elite Chrome Extra Color 100 emulsions. In essence, this means that Kodak is practically handing the slide film market over to Fujifilm (although Kodak’s E-6 chemicals will continue to be available). Film aficionados should, however, take note that Kodak Professional colour negative films - including the Ektar 100, Portra 400 and Portra 160 emulsions introduced over the past three years - and Kodak Professional black-and-white films will continue to be manufactured and sold worldwide.

The Lomographic Society has launched the Spinner 360° Motorizer, which allows you to create remote-controlled photos with the Spinner 360° film camera. Simply attach your camera to the base and press the remote control - the Motorizer works anywhere from 5-8m in an unobstructed space. Lomography has launched a new Western Edition of its La Sardina 35mm film camera. The Lomography La Sardina Western Edition comes in two versions, called Belle Starr and Clever Coyote. Known as the “Queen of the Oklahoma Outlaws,” Belle Starr has been described as “the most dangerous and wanted woman of her time”. The Sardina clone named in her honour (pictured) is decorated with filigree patterns and arrows, while the Clever Coyote carries an image of the prairie and the coyote, engraved in oxidised metal. Like all other cameras in the Sardina range, the Western Edition models feature an ultrawide 22mm lens with a fixed f/8 aperture and an 88° angle of view. The cameras can be yours for £179 each.

The Holga 135 PAN is the first Holga to feature interchangeable lenses. The camera shoots 24x72mm size panoramic images on 35mm film, and comes with a 55mm f/8 lens as well as an f/236 pinhole “lens” with a diameter of 0.25mm. The 55mm lens offers two aperture settings, f8 (wide open) and f11 (stopped down), and features a leaf shutter with a fixed 1/100s shutter speed. The Lomographic Society has introduced a limited-edition Spinner 360° clone wrapped in Toledo leather. The Spinner 360° is a fully mechanical camera that captures 360° panoramas on 35mm film with a spectacular spin. Set in motion by pulling the trigger-cord with simple manpower, the rubber band drive lets the Spinner 360° revolve on its grip while taking a photo at a fixed shutter speed. The Spinner 360° Leather Edition is decorated with a geometric network pattern, as seen in the photo above.
