The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm F4.5 TC1.25x IS PRO is a high- resolution, super telephoto zoom lens that is equipped with a built-in 1.25x teleconverter and covers a wide focal length of 300-1000mm equivalent.

The Olympus 150-400mm lens will be available from the end of January priced at £6,499.99 in the UK and $7,499.95 in the US.

Venus Optics have just released two new variants for the Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO - Pentax K-mount and Canon EF-mount with manual aperture.

The retail price of both the Canon EF mount and Pentax K mount version in the US is $449.

The Panasonic S 85mm F1.8 is a new compact, lightweight prime lens for its full frame S Series cameras.

In addition, Panasonic have revealed that 24mm, 35mm and 50mm F1.8 lenses will also be coming in the near future.

These four F1.8 lenses will be the same size, have identically placed controls, and use the same filter size.

The Panasonic S 85mm F1.8 will be available from the end of November 2020 priced at £599.99 / €679.99.

Canon are introducing two new RF lenses today - the the RF 50mm F1.8 STM and RF 70-200mm F4L IS USM.

The RF 70-200mm F4L IS USM is the world’s shortest and lightest f/4 interchangeable lens in its focal range. It weighs just 695 grams and measures 11.9cm long. It has a Dual Nano USM focusing motor, just like the F2.8 version, up to 7.5-stops of image stabilisation when used with the EOS R5 and EOS R6, 3 different IS modes and is fully weatherproof.

The RF 50mm F1.8 STM is the newest ‘nifty fifty’ lens, succeeding Canon’s EF 50mm f/1.8 STM. The RF 50mm offers better image quality than the EF version, and is quieter too. It features 7 stops of image stabilisation when used on the EOS R5/6 cameras, a metal mount and a de-clicked control ring.

The RF 50mm F1.8 STM is priced at £219.99 / €249.99 / $199.99 and the RF 70-200mm F4L IS USM will cost £1699.99 / €1969.99 / $1599.99.

Fujifilm has just unveiled the latest lens roadmap for its X-Series mirrorless camera range, adding the XF 18mm F1.4 and XF 70-300mm F4-5.6 OIS lenses.

Both new lenses are due to be released in 2021.

The Fujifilm XF 10-24mm F4 R OIS WR is a new ultra-wide zoom lens with weather resistance.

Based on the XF 10-24mm F4 R OIS which it replaces, this new version has been updated with an f-stop scale on its aperture ring, an Auto-position lock, a new weather-resistant structure, improved OIS and slimmer focus and zoom rings.

The XF 10-24mm F4 R OIS WR will be available in late November 2020 priced at £899.

Sigma have just announced a brand new macro lens designed exclusively for full frame mirrorless cameras.

The 105mm F2.8 DG DN MACRO Art comes in Sony E-Mount and L-Mount flavours. It offers superb optical and AF performance typical of Sigma’s Art lens line-up, a full range of functionality including aperture ring with de-click and lock options and an AFL button, fast AF performance, and excellent build quality with dust- and splash-proof construction.

The Sigma 105mm F2.8 DG DN MACRO Art will be available from 23rd October priced at £699.99 in the UK.

The 70-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD is the world’s smallest and lightest telephoto zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. It measures 5.8 in. in length, weighs 19.2 oz. and has a maximum diameter of 77mm.

The new Tamron 70-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD is now available for pre-order, with sales starting from October 29th onwards.

The suggested retail price will be £649.99 in the UK and $549 in the US.

The AF 35mm F1.8 FE is a new addition to Samyang's 'Tiny Series' lens range for Sony E full-frame mirrorless cameras, weighing in at just 210g.

The Samyang AF 35mm F1.8 FE will be available from the beginning of October priced at £359.99 in the UK (including VAT).

The new Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL is a super-wide-angle prime lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras. Offering an ultra-wide 126° angle of view, this is the world’s widest rectilinear lens with a front filter thread.

Available in Leica M, Leica L, Sony FE and Nikon Z mounts, the US price for the Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL is $799 (Leica M mount) and $699 (Sony FE, Nikon Z and L).

The new Fujifilm XF 50mm F1.0 R WR is the first ever F1.0 auto-focus lens for mirrorless cameras.

Offering an equivalent focal length of 75mm in 35mm full-frame terms, it's ideal for portrait photography.

It weighs 845g, more than twice the weight of the similar XF 56mm F1.2 lens (405g), and measures 87x103.5mm (Diameter x Length). The filter size is 77mm.

Although undoubtedly a big, heavy lens, it still feels well-balanced on the X-T4 camera, even without a battery grip fitted.

The optical construction is 12 elements in 9 groups, including 1 aspherical element and 2 ED elements.

It's weather and dust resistant with seals in 11 different places, and works down to -10 degrees.

There are 9 rounded aperture blades for more attractive bokeh. Coupled with the maximum F1.0 aperture, this lens definitely offers the best bokeh of any XF optic.

At F1.0, the spherical aberration is intentionally left to soften the bokeh. At F1.2, the resolution is equivalent to the XF 56mm F1.2. At F2, vignetting is reduced like the XF 90mm F2.

Lens breathing is minimal. Fujifilm have officially measured it at 0.095%.

Auto-focusing was a little hesitant on the pre-production sample that Fujifilm sent us. The face and eye detection worked very well to improve the focus accuracy, though, even when shooting wide-open at f/1.0.

The minimum focus distance is 0.7m and the maximum magnification is 0.08x, which is almost identical to the XF 56mm F1.2.

The Fujifilm XF 50mm F1.0 R WR will be available on 24th September priced at £1499 / $1499 / €1599.

Pentax have unveiled a limited-edition silver model of the K-1 Mark II 35mm full-frame digital SLR camera and three HD PENTAX-D FA★ lenses.

The Pentax K-1 Mark II Silver Edition costs £1899 and will be available from 25^th September 2020.

The NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 is the new kit lens for the Z5 entry-level full-frame mirrorless camera. This portable lens features a retractable design that is extended by rotating the zoom ring.

It doesn suffer somewhat from having a rather modest 24-50mm focal range, wide but pretty short for an all-in-one lens, and very slow f/4-6.3 maximum apertures, but there is a customisable control ring and Nikon claims that the focusing is quiet enough for video use.

The Nikon Z5 looks like such a capable camera that we'd probably skip this lens entirely and invest in some decent glass, like the Z 24-70mm f/4 S, unless the price for the Z5 kit is simply too tempting.

Nikon has announced that it will continue to expand the NIKKOR Z lens line-up with a variety of high-performance lenses that help to "stimulate photographers' creative intent".

Nikon have unveiled two new teleconverters, the traditional 1.4x and 2x variants, for their NIKKOR Z range of full-frame mirrorless camera lenses.

The first lens to be compatible with these teleconverters is the NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S, which hasn't actually been released. We can probably expect the teleconverters and 70-200mm to be launched alongside each other sometime in "late Summer 2020".

Nikon have promised that "as the NIKKOR Z lens line-up expands, more lenses will be compatible with the Z Teleconverters", which seems to suggest that they aren't compatible with any of the Z lenses that have already been released.

Pricing is somewhat predictably on the eye-wateringly high side - £549 | €649 for the 1.4x and £599 | €699 for the 2x.

Note that Nikon have significantly one-upped Canon by releasing teleconverters that actually work with their 70-200mm f/2.8 mirrorless lens...
