Epson have announced a new, Wi-FI enabled A3+ professional photo printer. Combining a seven-colour UltraChrome HiGloss 2 ink-set and advanced connectivity features in one affordable package, the Epson SC-P400 boasts the smallest ink droplet size of any A3+ photo printer on the market today. For users who desire prints with a museum-quality appearance, the SC-P400 includes a fine art paper path that is extremely easy to use as it has a rear-loading tray. Printing on roll media is optimised with two roll paper holders that allow accurate printing on two-inch core media. If users require thicker photos, rigid media of up to 1.3mm are also supported. The SC-P400 will be available to buy from 1st November 2015.

Under its new EcoTank brand, Epson have launched five all-in-one printers featuring large ink reservoirs that come loaded and ready for up to two years of prints without replacing the ink. The WorkForce Pro WF-R4640 EcoTank All-in-One ($1,199), the WorkForce ET-4500 EcoTank All-in-One ($429) and the WorkForce ET-4550 EcoTank All-in-One ($499) are targeted at small and medium enterprises, whereas the Expression ET-2550 EcoTank All-in-One ($399) and the Expression ET-2500 EcoTank All-in-One ($379) are aimed at home users. The ET-2550 (pictured) features a 1.44” colour LCD screen, PC-free photo printing with a built-in memory card slot and Wi-Fi Direct technology.

Canon today announced the Pixma MG3620 Wireless Inkjet All-in-One device for high-quality photo and document printing.  Featuring an improved wireless printing experience for compatible smartphone and tablet users through the updated Canon PRINT application, users can easily print from and scan images and documents to several of the most popular online social platforms and services, such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Photobucket, Dropbox, Evernote, Creative Park and Creative Park Premium, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive. Lasersoft has announced a new, paid upgrade for its SilverFast software, which incorporates a printer calibration tool. The ICC printer calibration utilises a flatbed scanner, whose colours are first adjusted with SilverFast’s patented auto IT8 calibration method, as a measuring device for profiling the printer. Users simply print a test chart using their printer and scan this chart with their IT8 calibrated scanner. SilverFast then calculates an ICC profile for their printer and the paper and ink combination. Those who already have SilverFast 8.5 for their scanner can purchase the upgrade for $99.

Canon have launched a cashback promotion in the UK and Ireland. The offer enables photographers to claim up to £50/€60 cashback on a variety of products including three dSLRs, the EOS M3 compact system camera, four EF-S and four EF lenses, two flash units, five compact cameras, five camcorders and four printers. The Canon SELPHY CP1000 is a new compact photo printer that allows you to print lab-quality photos at home and on the move. Canon has unveiled a collection of new models in its acclaimed PowerShot, IXUS and PIXMA PRO product ranges - the PowerShot SX410 IS, IXUS 275 HS (also known as the PowerShot ELPH 350 HS), PIXMA PRO-100S and PIXMA PRO-10S.

Today at Imaging USA 2015, DNP Imagingcomm America introduced its new DS80DX dye-sublimation duplex printer for professional photographers and photo retailers. At 16.4 inches tall by 12.7 inches wide by 19.7 inches deep, the printer has dual paper supplies that allow for easy duplex and simplex printing. The duplex printing function is sheet-fed with a dedicated media tray for double-sided prints, such as photobooks and calendars.
