Teorex has released a new program called PhotoStitcher, which enables any home user to create a panoramic image with one-click simplicity. “PhotoStitcher greatly facilitates panorama creation, since the user does not need to align and stitch adjacent images manually,” the company says. “The whole process of panorama stitching is performed automatically and takes just a couple of minutes.” Compatible with Windows XP and higher / MacOS X 10.6 and higher, PhotoStitcher is available for $19.99.

FOAP is a new web service that enables users to sell their iPhone photos via a smartphone app. The company splits the revenue on a 50/50 basis with the photographer, and each approved photo is licensed for $10, meaning you can earn $5 each time someone buys it. “We want to attract the best Iphoneographers and those who are passionate about photography rather then everyone,” says David Los, co-founder of FOAP. The company claims it has already partnered up with a number of photo buyers including Ferratum, a micro loan company. The app launched in the Scandinavian AppStores on 15th May, and has already attracted thousands of registered users. Today marks its launch on iTunes UK.

AlbumPro 2 is a new program that makes the creation of albums faster, more efficient and comfortable. Simplifying the design workflow through partly automated processes such as a template selector or the export function, the software is easy to use and comes with several integrated layout presets. AKVIS has released ArtWork version 7.0. This update introduces the Gouache style that lets creating a gouache painting from a photo. Also, the new version adds the preview images for the AKVIS presets. The update is free for all registered users. New users can purchase a home licence for $72. Available as a standalone application, as well as a plugin to a photo editor, the software runs on Windows XP/Vista/Win 7 and on Mac OS X 10.4-10.7, both 32 and 64 bit.

Angry Chicken Software, the developers of five-star photo app “Photo Notes,” have released One Stop Crop 1.1. Billed as “the only photo editing app that truly streamlines the iPhone photo editing experience,” One Stop Crop let’s you crop, rotate and even straighten images and supports unlimited, undo and redo actions. Bolide Software has released Bolide Slideshow Creator 1.4 – the latest version of its freeware slideshow editor. The new version introduces a pan&zoom effect that lets you highlight important details in a photo, show particular objects or people in a picture in more detail, or simply make the slideshow more dynamic. Tiffen has released updates to Tiffen Photo fx and Tiffen Photo fx Ultra. The apps now provide a number of ways to share enhanced or retouched images, allow users to save their favorite Photo fx looks into presets and import into Tiffen Dfx 3 and provide faster processors. Additionally, the Tiffen Photo fx Ultra version now supports the high-resolution Retina display of the new iPad. Tamron has announced the addition of the Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD for Canon mount to the lens profile for aberration correction offered for Adobe Photoshop CS6, ACR 7.1 and Lightoom 4.1. With the new profile, customers who own the lens will be able to utilize the above software for easy correction of lens distortion, chromatic aberrations and peripheral brightness based on design data.

Sprite Labs have announced an update to Paint FX. Version 3.1 adds three new HDR effects with advanced controls and new effects including “Flame”, “Cracked Paint”, “Cracked Tile”, “Grunge Film”, “Handmade Paper” and more. Paint FX 3.1 is available for $1.99 through the iTunes App Store.

Sekonic today announced a free downloadable upgrade to its Data Transfer Software (DTS) allowing for automated DSLR and Digital Video Camera meter calibration. Version 3.0 enables the measuring of the dynamic range of a DSLR or digital video camera and calibrating a photographer or videographer’s Sekonic L-758DR DigitalMaster and L-758Cine DigitalMaster meter to that specific data. Note that using the automated process requires recording images of one of Sekonic’s Exposure Profile Targets or one of X-Rite’s ColorChecker series targets.

onOne Software has released DSLR Camera Remote 1.4.3, an update that allows photographers to remotely fire and control Nikon’s new D800/D800E and D4 dSLR cameras from their iOS devices. “DSLR Camera Remote has been well received by professional and hobbyist photographers, so we are pleased to offer this update and support for these powerful new cameras,” said Craig Keudell, president of onOne Software. DSLR Camera Remote 1.4.3 is a free update to owners of DSLR Camera Remote Free, Professional and HD versions. Tamron has launched a free smartphone app called “Tamron Lenses & How-To”. Available for Android and iOS platforms, the app is designed to be a handy how-to and product reference guide. With much focus on the How-To aspect, this app will be especially useful for photographers who are out in the field shooting and would like a quick tip on how to create a better shot through the many articles and videos tailored to specific situations and photographic environments. “Tamron Lenses & How-To” is available to download from iTunes and Google Play.

Revolution Mosaic, a free iOS photography app that allows iPhone users from around the world to submit their photos to create a gigantic photo mosaic, is now available to download. “With the Revolution Mosaic app, 360,000 iPhone photos will come together to form 1 iconic image that will symbolize our mobile generation,” says developer Ian Tuason. Once the 360,000 photographs are submitted, one of the photos will be chosen to form the final mosaic image. This image will be chosen based on its depiction of the mobile generation. The final mosaic will then be turned into a 48” by 72” mural poster that can be viewed and purchased through the app, the website, or in commercial art galleries.

Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 7.1, Photoshop Lightroom 4.1 and Adobe DNG Converter 7.1 are now available to download. “Camera Raw 7.1 adds new Defringe controls to help address chromatic aberration,” says Sharad Mangalick, Adobe’s product manager for Lightroom. “Camera Raw can also now read 16-bit, 24-bit, and 32-bit HDR files.” Note that ACR 7.1 is only compatible with Photoshop CS6. Additionally, Lightroom 4.1 is now available as a final release on Adobe.com and through the update mechanism in Lightroom 4.

The PluginSite has released its ColorStyler software, which is the seventh product in the PhotoWiz series. According to the software developers, ColorStyler reproduces the whole workflow of colour film photography, recreating traditional film effects and giving photos a special style. It features more than 20 effect types, 600 presets and plenty of masking options for applying the effect only to selected areas of a photo. Priced at $69.95, ColorStyler is currently available as a Photoshop-compatible plugin for Windows as well as a standalone application. A plugin version for MacOS X will follow soon.

Facebook has released a free photo editing and sharing app for iOS devices. Billed as “a new mobile app that makes using Facebook photos faster and easier,” Facebook Camera lets users share multiple shots all at once instead of having to post one at a time. A few basic editing tools - such as cropping, rotating and a suite of creative filters - are also included. Facebook Camera is available now on iTunes.

DxO Labs have released DxO Optics Pro v7.5, which functions as a native 64-bit application under both MacOS and Windows. Thanks to this, DxO Optics Pro 7.5 can handle much larger files, among them those of the Nikon D800. Additionally, the interface of the Windows version has been enhanced with numerous new features-
