Kodak EasyShare OneDCResource have reviewed the new Kodak EasyShare One Wi-Fi digital camera.

“The biggest selling point for the EasyShare One is its wireless abilities and in that area the camera delivers. While the interface is clunky (and entering WEP keys is a major pain), the camera makes it quite easy to share photos via e-mail or prints. Photos and movies can also be transferred wirelessly to your Mac or PC. You an also send photos and movies to Kodak’s EasyShare Gallery, where you can view your online galleries (as well as those of your friends) and you can delete photos and albums if you’d like. Printing photos wirelessly is very cool, especially if you’re using Kodak’s optional Printer Dock.”

Nikon Coolpix S4CNET have reviewed the Nikon Coolpix S4, which has 6 megapixels and a 10x Zoom-Nikkor lens that is equivalent to 38-380mm.

“Veteran digital shooters waxing nostalgic for the Nikon Coolpix 900 series will cheer for the Coolpix S4’s resurrection of the swivel lens after nearly three years. The S4 comes in a more compact package, with 6-megapixel resolution, a 10X zoom lens, a 2.5-inch LCD, and Nikon’s signature ease-of-use features. But a lack of manual controls makes this compact snapshot camera a poor choice for shooting indoors or on the soccer field.”

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di AFThe-Digital-Picture have published a review of the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di AF lens.

” The most notable feature of this lens is the impressive center sharpness it delivers. With good center sharpness at f/2.8, very good center sharpness at f/3.2 and excellent center sharpness at f/4, the Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di Lens is weakest in the center at 75mm where it needs an extra stop to be at its best. I make the center designation clear as corner sharpness is a completely different story. The Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di Lens is soft in the corners and my copy is dreadfully soft in the upper left portion of the frame. Corner sharpness improves as the lens is stopped down and zoomed out (toward 75mm). But, some corner softness is still present at 75mm and f/8. Fortunately, users of 1.5x/1.6x FOVCF digital SLR camera bodies will avoid most of this pain. “

Cointreau celebrates women from generations past and present, women with strength of spirit and a timeless sense of style. www.cointreauversialgallery.com has been launched in support of the live exhibition presented by Cointreau and Getty images.

Titled ‘BE COINTREAVERSIAL’ the exhibition will run from the 4th to the 26th of November at the Getty image gallery in London.

Most iconic pictures of celebrity women were taken without the knowledge of the subject and these images have been crucial in creating a generation of women with independence and strength whose identity has never been stronger. Forget celebrity magazines, this is an insight to a powerful world that all women can learn from.

The exhibition combines both portrait and spontaneous photography. Take a tour through famous faces and mood capturing images from the exhibition without leaving your desk– a cultural lunchtime excursion for the modern workingwoman.

“The Canon Pixma MP500 Photo All-In-One ($199.99 direct), built around the same engine as the Editors’ Choice Canon Pixma iP4200 Photo Printer, offers both more and less than you might expect for the price. Some shortcomings, such as a lack of fax support and the absence of an automatic document feeder (ADF) could limit the AIO’s usefulness depending on your needs. But unexpected pluses like excellent paper handling that includes duplexing compensate, so this an excellent choice for a home or home office if faxing and high volume input aren’t concerns”

- Plasma TV, LCD TV and MP3 player sales increase by triple digits

Frankfurt/Main, 17 November 2005 – Innovative devices with digital technologies are leading to a rapid growth of film, music and image-based CE market segments in Western Europe. According to the European Information Technology Observatory (EITO) the market value is growing by 9.2% in 2005 to an overall value of 54.2 billion Euro.

“Digital devices are offering a substantial increase in value for the user“, says EITO Chair Bruno Lamborghini. „More storage, higher capacity and better quality in image and sound are convincing arguments for purchase.“ Accordingly, digital products like flat screen TVs, MP3 players or game consoles show double digit growth rates. In contrast, the market for analogue products is experiencing a real decline. Cathode ray tube TVs, video recorders or traditional Hi-Fi elements cannot even account for a quarter of the total market.

Epson Stylus Photo RX700PCMagazine have reviewed the Epson Stylus Photo RX700 all-in-one printer, a six colour model that can print on CDs and DVDs.

“Although the RX700 offers much to like, it’s simply not as good a value as the 3310, which costs essentially the same, has similar performance, offers slightly better photo quality, and ups the ante on features, with a built-in fax modem, Ethernet connection, and wireless networking. But if you want the ability to print labels directly on discs, it’s currently the only AIO game in town.”

Canon PowerShot A410Imaging Resource review the Canon PowerShot A410 compact digital camera, an entry level model with 3.2 megapixels and 1.5 inch LCD screen which replaces the A400.

“At its price point, the Canon PowerShot A410 lets novice users enjoy the benefits of Canon imaging. Its fully automatic mode keeps things simple, while the camera’s Scene modes handle more complex shooting situations. There’s no audio capture or video output but the print options are extensive, covering Exif Print, PictBridge and Canon’s proprietary direct connect technologies. The 3.2-megapixel CCD captures high quality images, able to make sharp prints as large as 8x10 inches, while maintaining very good detail. The compact yet rugged design should fit well into a larger coat pocket or purse, and the PowerShot A410’s lens design protects it when closed, while keeping the camera body smooth and low-profile.”

Canon EOS-1D Mark II NDigitalCameraInfo have published their review of the Canon EOS-1D Mark II N digital SLR camera, an upgrade of the EOS-1D Mark II, principally offering a larger frame burst on both JPEG and RAW mode and increasing the size of the LCD monitor to 2.5 inches.

“The EOS-1D Mark II n is a heck of a lot of camera—and at $4,000, it had better be. We can judge its value in a few ways, but any way you slice it, this camera is a strong buy. First, we can compare it to the competition: for $500 more than the Nikon D2Hs, it delivers a faster shooting rate and twice as many pixels. The Nikon autofocus system seemed to handle some low-contrast subjects better, but not conclusively so. Comparatively, the 1D Mark II n seems like a great value. “

Fujifilm FinePix E900 ZoomDesignTechnica have published their review of the new Fujifilm FinePix E900 Zoom, a 9 megapixel digital camera with a 4x optical zoom lens equivalent to 32-128mm and an ISO range of ISO 80 to ISO 800.

“The Fujifilm FinePix E900 is a good—not great—digital camera. The tendency for the lens to grab focus in low light was annoying. Outdoors or shooting with a decent amount of ambient light eliminated this problem but it’s still there. The E900 uses the same CCD as the more expensive FinePix S9000 but that’s more D-SLR-like and has a potent 10.7x optical zoom with a top ISO of 1600. This camera does not exhibit the noise we experienced with some 8MP digicams such as the Panasonic DMC-FZ30.”

Olympus FE-100CNET just have reviewed the new 4 megapixel Olympus FE-100 digital camera.

“The Olympus FE-100’s image quality was only adequate; if resolution is important to you, consider spending a few dollars more for the 5-megapixel FE-110 or splurging on the superior FE-120. Still, this model produced surprisingly good exposures, and in our test photos, defects such as JPEG artifacts, a touch of noise at higher ISOs, and a little color fringing weren’t objectionable in smaller prints.”
