With good center sharpness at f/2.8, very good center sharpness at f/3.2 and excellent center sharpness at f/4, the Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di Lens is weakest in the center at 75mm where it needs an extra stop to be at its best. I make the center designation clear as corner sharpness is a completely different story. The Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di Lens is soft in the corners and my copy is dreadfully soft in the upper left portion of the frame. Corner sharpness improves as the lens is stopped down and zoomed out (toward 75mm). But, some corner softness is still present at 75mm and f/8. Fortunately, users of 1.5x/1.6x FOVCF digital SLR camera bodies will avoid most of this pain. “

According to the European Information Technology Observatory (EITO) the market value is growing by 9.2% in 2005 to an overall value of 54.2 billion Euro.
“Digital devices are offering a substantial increase in value for the user“, says EITO Chair Bruno Lamborghini. „More storage, higher capacity and better quality in image and sound are convincing arguments for purchase.“ Accordingly, digital products like flat screen TVs, MP3 players or game consoles show double digit growth rates. In contrast, the market for analogue products is experiencing a real decline. “The EOS-1D Mark II n is a heck of a lot of camera—and at $4,000, it had better be. We can judge its value in a few ways, but any way you slice it, this camera is a strong buy. First, we can compare it to the competition: for $500 more than the Nikon D2Hs, it delivers a faster shooting rate and twice as many pixels. The Nikon autofocus system seemed to handle some low-contrast subjects better, but not conclusively so. Comparatively, the 1D Mark II n seems like a great value. “

DesignTechnica have published their review of the new Fujifilm FinePix E900 Zoom, a 9 megapixel digital camera with a 4x optical zoom lens equivalent to 32-128mm and an ISO range of ISO 80 to ISO 800.
“The Fujifilm FinePix E900 is a good—not great—digital camera. The tendency for the lens to grab focus in low light was annoying. Outdoors or shooting with a decent amount of ambient light eliminated this problem but it’s still there. The E900 uses the same CCD as the more expensive FinePix S9000 but that’s more D-SLR-like and has a potent 10.7x optical zoom with a top ISO of 1600. This camera does not exhibit the noise we experienced with some 8MP digicams such as the Panasonic DMC-FZ30.”

Unlike most bulk feed systems, which use modified generic bottles and foam-filled standard ink cartridges, the Lyson bulk feed system for the Epson R1800 uses components specifically designed for use in continuous ink supply systems. The space-saving modular ink reservoirs can be topped up while printing, and sealed when not in use to prolong ink life.
