Net SE, the company which took ownership of the Meyer Optik Görlitz brand name in 2014, has opened a new subsidiary, Meyer Optik USA, headquartered in Atlanta. The new office will support the distribution of Meyer Optik Görlitz products in the United States. It will also spearhead the relaunch of the legendary Trioplan f2.8/100 lens, which will contain fifteen steel diaphragm blades, resulting in a circular aperture. The original Trioplan was constructed in 1916 and is recognised for its classic ‘soap bubble’ bokeh. The first remanufactured Trioplan f2.8/100, due to be announced in June 2015, will fit Canon, Fuji, M42, Micro Four Thirds, Nikon, and Sony-E camera mounts. Sliders is a new mobile app that converts any iOS device into a digital photo frame. Besides turning your own Flickr photostream into an easy-to-use slideshow, Sliders can display photos that match keywords specified by the user, displaying a rich selection of thematic photos on your device. "With Sliders, an iPad that’s sitting in a corner, waiting to be used, is turned into a gorgeous picture frame," says developer Babak Fakhamzadeh. Impossible is inviting photographers around the world to join them on a virtual tour of their factory via the new video streaming app, Periscope. Located in Enschede, Netherlands the iconic factory was the last standing Polaroid factory, with Impossible obtaining it in 2008 to begin their own journey to save instant film. The live virtual tour, which begins today at 12:30pm BST, will give an insight to key film development processes and a glimpse into how Impossible instant films are made. In order to join the tour you need to download the Periscope app and give @Impossible_HQ a follow on Twitter. The streams will be available on Impossible's Periscope feed for 24 hours for those who missed the live stream.

10 recently graduated photographers have been announced as the winners of the inaugural Graduate Photographers Award.: Sebastian Bruno, Jack Carvosso, Sophie Green, Robin Lambert, Henna Mattila, Harry Mitchell, Milo Newman, Kate Nolan, Sunil Shah and Miriam Stanke have won mentoring from a Magnum photographer, a portfolio review event with the nomination panel and a slideshow of their work being presented today from 6.30 – 7.30pm at Photo London.

LG have officially launched the LG G4c smartphone. As the smaller sibling of the LG G4, the 5", 720p  LG G4c features an 8-megapixel rear camera module with flash, plus a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for self-portraits.
