Calumet UK has announced a range of workshops for the month of June. All seminars and workshops are individually priced and students can take advantage of a discounted rate. John Gallo will be hosting a 2-part event entitled "Mastering Street Photography - Photojournalism as an Art Form" on 11-12 June in Bristol. Victor Aberdeen will hold free colour management workshops in Calumet Photographic's London, Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol stores. Jon Gray will lead a creattive Hollywood beauty and fashion lighting masterclass on the 13th, at Calumet London. Samsung have posted a firmware update for the professional grade Samsung NX1 compact system camera. Version 1.30 incorporates no less than 19 new features, enhancements and bug fixes. These include major improvements to AF operation in low light, spot light and backlight, a brand new Zone AF mode, various movie mode enhancements, and much more. Citing "increased public concerns over privacy and the need for photographers to protect themselves and the people they photograph," The Royal Photographic Society (RPS) has produced a generic model release form which it has made freely available for all photographers to download. "A model release form specifies how pictures can be used and is there to protect both the photographer and his/her subjects," the Society said in a statement. "Properly completed a signed form will protect the photographer in the event of any future claim." You can download the form from the website below.

The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G7 compact system camera integrates 4K video recording capability and a variety of 4K Photo functions. The LUMIX DMC-G7 records  QFHD 4K video in 3840x2160 at 25p (50Hz) or 24p in MP4 with full-time auto-focusing. The 4K Photo function allows you to extract an 8-megapixel still, and three 4K Photo functions are newly integrated into the LUMIX DMC-G7: 4K Burst Shooting, 4K Burst (Start/Stop) and 4K Pre-burst.

The new LG G4 smartphone will begin rolling out this week to consumers in key markets around the world. Featuring a 1/2.6"-type sixteen-megapixel sensor, an f/1.8 lens and an external white balance sensor, the LG G4 offers raw photo capture, and a wide range of manual adjustments including shutter speed, focus and ISO sensitivity, as well as optical image stabilisation, laser auto focus and a live histogram. Starting in Hong Kong, the G4 will follow with rollouts in Turkey, Russia and Singapore, eventually including most of Europe, North America, CIS, Southeast Asia, Middle East/Africa and South/Central America. It will arrive in the UK on 28th May.

Fuji have released six full-resolution sample photographs taken with the new Fujifilm X-T10 compact system camera. Captured at sensitivity settings ranging from ISO200/24° to ISO800/30°, these Fujifilm X-T10 samples were shot using a variety of Fujinon lenses including the XF55-200mm F3.5-4.8 R LM OIS, the XF50-140mm F2.8 R LM OIS WR, the XF35mm F1.4 R and the XF18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS.

Fuji have posted half a dozen high-resolution sample images captured with the brand new Fujinon XF90mm F2 R LM WR lens. Taken by Bert Stephani, Niko Villegas and Kevin Mullins, these sample photographs demonstrate how well the XF90mm F2 R LM WR can be used in portraiture, fashion and wedding photography. The photos were all taken on a Fujifilm X-T1 compact system camera.

The Fujifilm X-T10 compact system camera combines a compact and lightweight body with a new AF system that excels at capturing moving subjects. The X-T10 features an APS-C X-TransTM CMOS II sensor with built-in phase detection AF. In addition to Fujifilm’s conventional 49-point AF mode for high speed and precision focusing, the X-T10 features new Zone and Wide/Tracking modes that track subject movement across a larger 77-point area.

The Fujifilm X-T10 will be on sale in the UK from mid-late June 2015. It will be available in both Black and Silver versions. All kit lenses will be Black.

Sigma has announced the suggested retail price of the new Sigma dp0 Quattro large-sensor compact camera.
