The Leica APO-Summicron-SL 35 mm f/2 ASPH is a new L-Mount lens for the Leica SL full-frame mirrorless camera. The new 35mm Summicron-SL prime lens delivers extremely high image performance at its largest aperture and is ideal for shooting in difficult lighting conditions.

The APO-Summicron-SL 35 mm f/2 ASPH will be on sale in the UK from April 2019 priced at £3,900.

Canon has announced its first online photo-community platform RAISE, which utilizes artificial intelligence to help photographers organize and categorize their photos through auto-tagging. An Adobe Lightroom plugin version of RAISE, which is compatible with Adobe Lightroom Classic CC, is currently scheduled to be released next month

Samyang has launched its first two lenses in the Canon RF mount: MF 14mm F2.8 RF and MF 85mm F1.4 RF. The Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 RF is an ultra-wide-angle, manual-focus lens with excellent sharpness, even at its maximum aperture. The Samyang MF 85mm F1.4 RF is ideal for top quality portraiture and still images with its vivid colours and smooth out-focus quality.

The first two RF lenses from Samyang will be displayed at CP+ 2019. The Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 RF and MF 85mm F1.4 RF will be available during March 2019, suggested retail pricing to follow.

Sony have announced a new CFexpress Type B memory card which boasts ultra-fast read and write speeds of up to 1700MB/s and 1480MB/s. The Sony CFexpress Type B memory card offers a 128GB capacity, with higher capacity models of 256 GB and 512 GB planned for the future. A new Sony CFexpress card reader, the MRW-G1, takes full advantage of Sony CFexpress Type B’s high-speed performance.

The Sony CFexpress Type B memory card and the CFexpress MRW-G1 Card Reader will be released in early summer 2019.

The Sony RMT-P1BT is a new Wireless Remote Commander that operates via a Bluetooth connection, eliminating the need for wires, cables or receivers to connect the remote directly to the camera.

The RMT-P1BT Wireless Remote Commander will ship in Europe in April priced at approximately €75 / £60.

The new Sony FE 135mm F1.8 GM is a full-frame, large-aperture telephoto prime lens equipped with Sony’s most advanced optical technologies. The new FE 135mm F1.8 GM offers exceptionally high resolution and exquisite bokeh, two qualities that are signature attributes of Sony’s flagship G Master brand.

The FE 135mm F1.8 GM will ship in Europe in April 2019, priced at approximately €2000 / £1750 / $1900 US.

Sigma today announced 11 of its Art prime lenses will soon be available in L-Mount, plus the launch of the Sigma Mount Converter MC-21, which will allow Sigma’s SA mount and Canon EF mount lenses to be used on L-Mount camera bodies.

The SD Association have just announced microSD Express, which is capable of delivering a 985 megabytes per second (MB/s) maximum data transfer rate, making it the fastest memory card standard for mobile devices.

The new Ricoh Theta Z1 is a 360-degree camera with a 23-megapixel, 1.0-inch back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, 4K video at 30fps, and support for Adobe DNG format RAW files.

The Theta Z1 will cost £899 / $999 and be available in late March 2019.

Available from March 15th, the Tokina Opera 16-28mm F2.8 is priced at £699 / $699.

Shoten have announced the Speedmaster 50mm F 0.95 III lens for Sony E, Canon RF and Nikon Z mirrrorless cameras. The third version of this large-aperture manual focus lens improves image quality by reviewing the optical performance.

The Speedmaster 50mm F 0.95 III lens is dues to be released in April will be on show at this week's CP+ show in Japan.

Kipon have unveiled the World's first "CANIKON" autofocus adapter, which will be exhibited at the CP+ 2019 show in Japan this week (starts 28th February).

This adapter will allow Canon EF, EF-S, Sigma EF mount and Tamron EF mount lenses to be mounted on the new Nikon Z mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, complete with autofocusing.

There are already several adapters on the market that let you use Canon lenses on Nikon Z cameras, but all of them are manual focus only.

There's no price or availability yet for the new Canikon adapter.

The Nokia 9 PureView is the world’s first smartphone featuring a five camera array system.

It has two colour sensors and three monochromatic sensors which give sharpness and detail. All five work together to collect up to 10-times the amount of light than a single colour sensor of the same type.

Nokia 9 PureView allows you to capture images in uncompressed RAW “DNG” format and through a partnership with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom allows editing on the device.

Nokia 9 PureView is already shipping and will retail for $699 USD.

The Sony Xperia 1 smartphone features technologies from the Alpha range of mirrorless cameras, including the World’s first Eye AF in a smartphone, triple lens camera and up to 10 fps burst shooting with AF/AE tracking.

The Xperia 1 comes in Black, Purple, Gray, and White (only Black and Purple available in U.S.) with Android 9.0 Pie, and will be available in the U.S. from late Spring 2019.
