Sigma Corporation of America today announced its “Total Solar Eclipse” promotion that features instant rebates for the following Sigma Global Vision telephoto lenses and mount converter: the Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary and Sports lens models, the Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary lens, and the Sigma MC-11 Mount Converter for Sony E-mount camera systems. The new Sigma instant rebate programme pays homage to the rare total solar eclipse phenomenon taking place on 21 August 2017. Sigma customers will receive a $200 instant rebate off the purchase of a Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports lens (normally $1,999 USD) and a $100 instant rebate off the purchase of a Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary lens (normally $1,089 USD). Sigma customers will also receive a $50 instant rebate off the purchase of a Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary lens (normally $799 USD). The promotion features an additional $100 instant rebate off the purchase of a Sigma MC-11 Mount Converter for Sony E-mount, full-frame and APS-C sensor cameras (normally $249 USD) when purchased with either of the 150-600mm F5-6.3 or the 100-400mm F5-6.3 lens models. The “Total Solar Eclipse” promotion ends on 21 August 2017.

Sigma Corporation of America has announced its Black Friday deals on five of the company’s most popular lenses. During the promotion, which starts today and ends on Cyber Monday, the Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art lens is available for $849 instead of $949. The Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM can be yours for $299 (originally $549), the 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM now sells for $419 (instead of $669), the 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM can be had for $1,149 (originally $1,399), and the Sigma 105mm F2.8 Macro EX DG OS HSM is being offered for $669 (regular price: $969).
Digital Splash - a photography show hosted by Wilkinson Cameras – opens its doors at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston once again on Sunday, 11th October. The event itself is free to attend and there’s even plenty of free parking – doors open at 10am. Attendees will be able to listen to several presentations delivered by acclaimed photographers Jonathan Chritchley, Damien Lovegrove, Kerry Hendry, Adam Duckworth and Paul Rogers. Paul’s masterclass will include practical lighting demonstrations, highlighting his unique approach to this genre. This is a hands on workshop with the chance to shoot your own images – so guests are encouraged to bring along their cameras. Tickets for the seminars are £6, and £20 for the live phootshoots with Paul Rogers.

Now in its 6th year, Digital Splash - which is hosted by Wilkinson Cameras – will see a selection of the UK’s best photographers descend on Preston. Lancashire, for a celebration of all things photography related. Headlining the show this year is world famous landscape and travel photographer, Colin Prior, alongside Andrea Denniss, Damian McGillicuddy, Matt Hart and Catherine Connor. Brand new for this year is the F-Stop Stage – which will host a range of free talks on subjects including the use of flash and studio lighting, colour management systems and the use of filters – (hosted by Lee Filters). Focus on Imaging 2007, Europe’s biggest annual imaging event, takes place as usual at the NEC in Birmingham, UK. It opens on Sunday, February 25th and runs until Wednesday, February 28th.
